Is there an easier way to use fnac. I see it’s in French. Is there an English version. Thanks

That works, but be aware Chrome (like Google Translate) can make mistakes in interpretation...

I wrote a step-by-step guide to order the exclusive 4-disc steel for a user on the 4K thread:

2) Click the white 'Precommander' button (after release: 'Ajouter au panier')

3) Click the yellow 'Finaliser ma commande' button

4) You will see the price of the item (should be lower than 34.99 as EU VAT is removed for US residents), and the shipping cost is "Frais de livraison estimés". Click the yellow 'Valider mon panier' button

5) Click 'Créer un compte'.
Monsieur/Madame
Nom = Surname
Prénom = First name
Email
Mot de passe = password (create one here)
Click the black 'Créer mon compte' button.

6) In the final checkout page, you will need to enter your address, under the option "Livraison à domicile". You will need to enter a Payment Card (Paiement) with Billing (Facturation) address.

7) Under "RÉCAPITULATIF", check the final price + shipping Total, then click the yellow "Payer €___" button to finalise the order.

Once again, they remove EU VAT, debit only upon dispatch (so you can cancel up to a week before release), and send stuff in sturdy cardboard.
Let me know if you need more help or if my instructions didn't work.

Thanks. Was finally able to get it to work. I wasn’t able to use PayPal since the address section of fnac doesn’t allow you to enter a state. I was able to use my credit card instead. Will that be a problem that State is missing. I didn’t see a field for it. I was able to enter street, zip code and country

I ordered Aquaman and First Man steelbooks and so far i have not received any email saying that it didn't go through.

2 steelbooks for the same shipping cost (17 euros). My only concern is that it doesn't say if First man is Region free.

Decided to bite the bullet and order this. Figured the BB Steelbook will cost close to $40 anyway, so I'd rather get the version that has better value for the money. Kinda sucks about not getting it til mid-May apparently, but oh well.

  • It will all be region free.
  • There will not be forced subtitles.
  • Because the film was also called Aquaman in France and German, their steelbooks will almost certainly not have French text on the front or bind (best to confirm artwork before dispatch though).
NB. The previous Amazon product page NO LONGER EXISTS, and the initial Blu-ray.com listing for it is now INACTIVE and NO LONGER CORRECT.
There is now a new Amazon product page, and a new Blu-ray.com listing, which IS CORRECT:

If you added the initial Blu-ray.com database listing to your Collection on the site, you should remove it and add the new listing in its place.
If you pre-ordered from the previous Amazon product page, not to worry, they merged the two, so your order still exists for the correct, upcoming product (you will see when you log in to your account).
Secondly, Fnac.com is now ALSO listing a Fnac Exclusive edition: 4K + 3D + Blu-ray + Bonus Blu-ray (4-disc) Steelbook. This is currently the same price as the aforementioned Steelbook!
Here's the Blu-ray.com listing for it.

I believe this is the most superior edition available anywhere (not including ultra expensive 'premium' ones that may come later) and remember, Fnac.com remove VAT upon checkout.

Hope that helps people out.
I for one am ecstatic that such a 4-disc edition exists for a good price
Just to confirm the FNAC 4 disc edition is region free right?

The website doesnt mention this but i pre-ordered.

How about their First Man 4K steelbook? is that region free?

Thanks. I’ll just assume that country, zip code and town is enough and it will ship with no problems. Weird that they don’t ask for a state

I've looked on the database for first man 4k fnac edition on here and it's universal so it should be region free, like aquaman which is warner is region free, so both should be ok

Looks like I'll be getting this one since it's got everything in one package.

Also I haven't been a fan of the comic book style that best Buy has been going with.

Full info:

[Show spoiler]UPDATE: Fnac's exclusive 4K + 3D Steelbook now includes a CD soundtrack instead of a Bonus disc. This means that all
bonus features that exist will be included on the standard blu-ray included in both Amazon France and Fnac's 4K + 3D Steelbooks.
The artwork is, for now, still different for the two editions:

Yeah, the site automatically shows the local region. It only shows "region free" if a member actively confirms it for that specific entry (pretty rare for European entries on this site - plenty are region free but don't say so on the page, you often have to check the associated forum thread if there is one).
Warner Bros are always region free everywhere, so no worries for Aquaman.

It's says untested, because well -- it's untested. Region status can't/shouldn't be updated on the database until discs are in hand.

It's very poor form to use information supplied by retailers, distributors, studios, pictures of the logos on the cover/disc to update prior to items being checked b/c they are so often wrong. That's means near/after release unless we can get someone with an early review copy to do it and even those Review/Check discs can occasionally be miscoded compared to the actual release day item

You're right. Problem is, so many people confirm things are region free - after release, discs in hand - and bother to say so on the associated forum thread, but don't bother to confirm it on the database entry... I end up having to search threads for keywords like 'locked' and 'region' to find out.

Will the UK Steelbook have a standard blu-ray in it? It just says 4K on the HMV website 😕

Aren't all UHD discs region free, non-region coded as part of the spec?
