I reckon they'll have it somewhere between £20.99 and £22.99. They tend to charge a quid or two more than HMV and Amazon on box sets, I've noticed.

Already confirmed by Eureka on Facebook that it'll be Region B locked. They only do Region Free if their contract allows them to (e.g. the odd Sony title) so that already rules out anything licensed from Paramount.

I don't see anything about a new transfer on that specs list A lot has happened in 10 years. The old BD doesn't look bad, but, again, it's been 10 years. Nice list of extras, though - and the packaging is supreme so I guess that's a good enough reason to upgrade. I never did like Lionsgate's ugly dog teeth cover art

I got the US LG disc when it came out, just sold it. A solid disc for it's time but the new extras, packaging and a tighter encode make this a must for me.

Rewatched this for the first time in about 20 years at Halloween and was surprised with how great it was. Very stylishly directed (some fantastic camera work throughout) and given that they were working with a real dog, there's a proper sense of aggression to the action.

A lot of those claustrophobic shots were courtesy of Jan de Bont, I agree that it makes what could have been a boring premise work by creating tension with that framing and camera movement.

IIRC, Universal controls UK rights to the Taft/Republic catalog (on behalf of owner and longtime overseas partner Paramount) which could explain how Eureka managed to acquire it given their prior relationship to Universal.
