I always liked it but then I also liked most 80's and 90's films like gremlins and short circuit.

I'll double Dip even though I have the USA edition.

Just a shame they never remastered...

I can't remember dislike watching this movie when I was a kid. But the villain scared the crap out of me when he slowly transformed into the monster, it was right up there with the robot transformation scene in Superman 3 which also gave me nightmares :P

I have the German edition, which is in 2.0. The 101 release will be 5.1.

Their website even lists the DVD has having 'AC3' sound, which is one hell of a throwback to the days of Dolby Digital LaserDiscs!!

I'm perfectly happy with what I have, as the 2.0 soundtrack decodes wonderfully into surround. I even knocked up my own cover for the German edition...

Just received my copy and it seems region locked. Can’t read it on my region A player, unless there is a problem with my copy.

Yes, the listing on the 101 Films site says the BD is Region B and the DVD is Region 2.

Got my copy today. Nice release, but unfortunately the extra "A Look Back at Howard the Duck" listed on the 101 Films website and available on other releases is not included (the packaging doesn't list this extra, however). The packaging and website also lists an extra called "Releasing the Duck News Featurette", but other releases include an extra called "Releasing the Duck" and one called "News Featurette". The "News Featurette" is included, but not "Releasing the Duck". And there's just 1 teaser and not "Teasers" as listed on the packaging and menu. There's a second one available on other releases.

Revisited this film today for the first time in years. Loved it much more than I remembered... lovelly package and excellent transfer. Disapointed that there was only one teaser though, especially as it promised more.

Indeed, the 101 Films press release and website promised more extras than there are on the disc. See my post above.
