The rigid slipcase has me seriously pondering it though. I have the first set in its flimsy box so this'd be a bit nicer IMO.

They mentioned in their announcement that this will be the last time they will reissue this particular set, also in the same style as the IKWYDLS & UL Box Sets. Those two went oop quite quickly, so this new Anaconda Set could become somewhat collectible in the end.

Ophidiophobia

That Anaconda boxset picture would give by brother an apolplectic shock of the 1st degree.

Very cool artwork mind.

I have the old set and it's great, it's packed like crazy with extras and has a huge booklet too, with way more pages than i'd ever think possible to write about these movies. I've yet to dig into it but I can't see myself rebuying these ever again. Except if this new rigid box also comes with all four movies in their individual cases inside with their theatrical posters (along with the same booklet, of course).

Yep, all of these LEs are somewhat of a collectors item.

I'm going to have a difficult decision whether to rebuy this.

I'm fine with the old set. I only paid $30 CAD for it so I can live with it. I prefer the artwork on the old set, but I would have like the hard shell / case vs the flimsy crap they gave us. I only bought it for the second movie. Very underrated fodder lol. One of the more overlooked monster movies. Good popcorn flick

Hey 88, why don't you guys release BATS seeing as how nobody's released it on Blu-Ray. I bet it would do pretty well being another monster / animal attacks film

Haha same here, I already owned the first one but really wanted the sequel (which i really like) so I got the set for it for 30$ CAD too on ebay back then (ended up selling my old copy of the first movie and remade most of my money this way). Honestly, I kind of wish this was just the first two movies, the rest are just syfy crap but the set is small enough you don't notice the extra two discs at least.

I wish they'd just give the second movie a standalone release. I imported the first movie years ago and have no need for 3 or 4.

The third film is like really bad, like one of the worst Syfy ever did.

The first two are fine and even the fourth isn't out and out awful. . . . .but jesus that third.

Obviously the solution is a slipcase replacement program

Why is this been re-released? This is so bizarre. Of all the films 88 has released in the past few years THIS is what they choose to reissue

Wasn't part 3 and 4 on the same disc?

Still no news about these? I'm really intrigued about the interior of the set. Is it individual cases? I hope 1 and 2 each get their own cases and they crammed the other two together to save on space. I already pre-ordered it on zavvi and i'm trying to sell the older set, i'm a sucker for rigid slipbox. :P

I'm waiting for more info too. Rigid slipbox with individual cases for each movie sounds really good but I'm doubtful because parts 3 & 4 were on the same disc in the old set.

As nice as the new artwork is, I think they've missed an opportunity to have a Jon Voight lenticular sneering cover
