Has it been cheaper on BF?
Why doesn't this site provide price history anymore, as they use too?
I've seen some places mentioning Amazon changed policy, forcing most price trackers to stop recording and showing price history unless they follow some strict requirements.

I do like these movies & didn’t really like The Last Knight but these are big dumb Bayhem movies & I’m finally making the upgrade to 4K next month. These movies sound great & look great look so I imagine they look awesome in 4K.

Yeah it was hurting their sales lol cuz when people see that it cost $60 now but at one point in time it cost $50 people won’t buy it at $60 ignorance is bliss

With that being said, the price has now dropped to $56.74.
Is that a good price to jump on?
From reading through theses threads, I know that at one point this collection was $49.99.

Can someone else confirm that the digital code (is it 1 or 5?) for this will redeem in 4K please? If so can we update the google sheet?

Default Aspect Ratios

Does anyone know why Paramount choose to go with static aspect ratios for 2, 4, 5, but kept the shifting aspect ratio for 6 with the 4k releases?

I assume you mean 5 (The Last Knight) and that’s based upon the master that was made for the film. The film had alternating aspect ratios theatrically and was not meant specifically for IMAX unlike Revenge of the Fallen and Age of Extinction. The “IMAX” BD release of ROTF was a Wal-Mart exclusive (and is now OOP) whereas the alternating aspect ratios for AOE were only present on the 3D disc.

Bumblebee (6?) was shot in flat.

I’m still so disappointed that the “big screen edition” of Revenge of the Fallen never made it to 4K. Even though it’s utilized in only a few scenes, I just loved seeing the screen expand right when they amazing forest fight begins and during the amazing Devastator sequences.

Sorry about the numbering, but yes that's what I meant. I owned the last 3 in 3D along with the Walmart version of Revenge, so thought it was odd that they were released on Blu-ray with those shifting aspect ratios only to have all but The Last Knight to have them removed. Just seemed like an odd decision to include one, but not the others.

I’m good with just the first one in UHD. The movies got worse and worse as they went along although #2 is the worst movie ever, arguably. Dark of the Moon is watchable in 3D I suppose....maybe. The first one is decent, IMO and works well enough but that’s it for me.

Bumblebee was OK but not nearly as good of a film as some people made it out to be.

I think the third and the fourth are actually the best TF movies and the least "offensive" as far as humor goes.

Everybody is always bigging up the first one but I don't see it. The second really is a bad movie, it is just plain stupid even for a Bay TF movie. Last Knight is something in between the first two movies and 4 + 5.

The 2nd is unquestionably worlds better than the last 2. I think it's better than the first, and in some ways better than the 3rd.

Still a lot wrong with it, no doubt.

Agreed on Bumblebee (which I was not counting as part of the other group).

I know this is months old, but posting anyway for anyone who doesn't know, CamelCamelCamel will show you an item's price history on Amazon if you just enter the url of the item.

If I had to rank them, I'd go with:

- 3 (unabashedly the best in the franchise. Most action. Least amount of stupid jokes. That DV is fantastic too)
- 1
- Bumblebee
- 4 (Best villain, by far - looks gorgeous on 4K)
- 5 (Makes no sense, but it's an AV spectacle)

- 2 (This is the absolute worst. The humor is so cringe worthy.)

I really only like the first one. I haven’t watched it in awhile so no sure how it holds up. I’m a child of the 80s so it was just amazing seeing them come to life on the big screen. The others I just remember not liking them. They felt like a chore to sit through. Bumblebee was fun though.

The only one I don’t really care for is The Last Knight but yea Bumblebee is the best one of all since the first one.

depends on how much you want it. It usually is at 49.99 a lot and dropped to 43.99 a few weeks ago

Their rewatch value - except for their use as home theater highlight reels / demo tapes - is really low. And this is coming from a Transformers enthusiast.

But 3,4,5 and the opening scene of Bumblebee are go-to demo material for me, especially audio-wise.

As usual, I tend to disagree with the common rankings. I like them all to some degree, but 2 and especially 5 are my favorites. Haven’t seen Bumblebee yet.

I'm selling the digital code for this release since I'm not going to use it. PM me if you're interested.
