This SteelBook looks great. So excited for this one and Iron Man.
I swear though, after this, I'm going to have to hang up my SteelBook boots. Really tough to keep up with their price points.

I dig the weathered movie poster look on all these newer Best Buy releases. If I didn't already have a bunch of Blufans Marvel SteelBooks I'd be all over all these.

That said, I'll still buy this new GotG SteelBook since I love GotG SteelBooks.

I agree 35 bucks is getting a bit much for steels

My favorite film in the MCU.

Still have the Awesome Mix 3D steelbook from the original run, going to swap out and sell the 3D disc/regular blu and put the 4K disc/regular blu in the steelbook. Never gets old!

In my day, The average Laserdisc release cost $34.99 to $39.99 for just the movie itself with little to no bonus features. From my point of view, a 4K SteelBook, with 4K HDR, Wide Color Gamut and Dolby Atmos AND a regular blu-ray also included is the perfect price point for a premium collectible. You kids have got it so much better than when I was your age. Getting paid $15 an hour back then was not considered minimum wage. Yet I managed to build a nice Laserdisc collection and help support a couple of bartenders back in the day. Now, I gotta go as they're about to start Bingo night here at the home...

My Star Wars Definitive collection LD CAV was like $299 retail! Yeah it had extras but I was only making about $6 an hour but had to have that THX! Still have my LDs. Anyhow hope bingo is promising. See you at the table soon talking about which Guardians 1 steelbook were going to keep.

Hoping some of these upcoming releases of the older movies have better transfers....

Not that FIRST AVENGER and WINTER SOLDIER look bad....but, they were/are definitely not the upgrade I was hoping for at 35 USD plus tax.

Same here. Not having "Blu-ray + DVD" on the spine made double dipping, for just the packaging, that much easier.

My understanding is that all of these films have 2K digital intermediates, so there is really no way to do a "new transfer," short of going back to the raw footage and rebuilding the entire film (which isn't going to happen). This is just what the films look like.

There are stylistic choices of the MCU films that I do not like - bland color grading, low contrast, etc. - but that's just how they are, for better or for worse.
