Nothing for Season 5? Would be interested to know what they thought of the changes for that season as well as behind the scenes stories that year.

On this new set are the double episodes the original 2 hour broadcast versions or the 2 part syndicated ones? On the first set they were the syndicated versions but due to compliants fabulous offered a disc exchange with the correct 2 hour episodes. Seems strange if they were to revert back to the syndicated episodes for this new set given the outcry in the first place.

Hey guys,

Hoping to get some info on this set (and the other) and have a few questions if anyone can assist:

- Are the new features worth the extra $70 this set costs vs. getting the older set? That one has no bonus features, correct?
- Regarding the older set, does anyone know if it now ships with the corrected disc and not the old syndicated versions?
- The old set was rumored to be region-free, is the new one? (I have a multi-region player but was still curious)

Definitely want to pull the trigger on one of them since a U.S. release seems highly unlikely... although I know it'll get announced the minute I make my purchase.

Not sure about Region free, it just says Region B on the cases but there are no subtitles at all, in any language, on the old or new set sadly.

I'm in Canada and can confirm that both A Team sets are region B locked. I bought them cause I'm a huge fan and was tired of waiting for a NA release. Thank goodness I have the option to play any region on my player.

If you are a die hard A Team fan, maybe it's worth paying the extra money for the new special features and signed art cards but it's definitely still a bit on the expensive side for what's included. It depends if you can live without the new commentary tracks and the behind the scenes footage of them doing the commentary.

The original boxset does have 2 special features:

Rumours of Soldiers of Fortune: Interview with Stephen J Cannell.
The Great 80's TV Flashback.

The old set does now include the corrected discs, providing it's not old stock. It was only the first 500 sets before they fixed it apparently, so should be safe now.

Not sure if they are region free, it just says Region B on the cases.

Giving this Bluray series a re-watch recently and noticed a sorta comical mastering error near the end of Season 3's "Bend in the River", the feature-length version..

At about 1hr and 22 minutes in, during the final confrontation between the A-Team and the Nazis, the audio pitch rises, sync drops and the film speeds up to comical proportions. We're talkin' hand cranked, silent film cadence, here. Like over-done time compression, especially when the 2 Nazi's are walking near the river bank, they sound like Disney cartoon characters. You really hear it when Hannibal says, "You didn't get a building permit from our executive offices, pal! We're gonna have to close you down!"

This is way past, like, double PAL speedup territory, and it continues until about 1hr 26 minutes, when Murdock throws a grenade-- you hear the pitch of the music kinda drop and the action slows to normal.

Weird things happen in the digital domain, eh?

I watched the entire blu-ray set a few years ago and never noticed this error. Can anyone else confirm this? I need to check mine soon. Doesn't seem I wouldn't notice a big thing like that.

While we wait for someone else to check theirs, I'll add that the scene plays at the proper speed on the US dvd version.

I tested my disc today and to be honest I found it hard to tell, but Hannibal's voice did sound a little off when he said "You didn't get a building permit from our executive offices, pal! We're gonna have to close you down!" as the 2 guys walked towards the boat Hannibal was on one of guys voice did also sound like it was speed up somewhat.

Hate to say it but the US is probably not going to get a release until probably 2023 which would be the 40th anniversary and who know since Disney owns the rights after they bought Fox a few years ago.

Something I recently found out which I thought was interesting:

-The show debuted in 1983 right after Superbowl XVII
-NBC hated the show because it was conservative for a liberal network.

The show was produced by Universal Television not Fox.
