This is a solid steelbook double dip. Although the first one is embossed. This one probably isn’t.

A beach background instead of white would’ve been cool but it’s still nice. Very bright and clean, I like it.

Moana released 3 years AFTER Frozen. Why is Moana getting the catalogue slipcovers but Frozen isn’t?

Because Frozen and Maleficent have imminent sequels, maybe? Instead of being lumped into the Pixar design or the Marvel design, they can stand out.

Idk all of the *Disney* steelbooks don’t really follow a trend like the Pixar and Marvel ones.

Nothing to do with sequels. Whenever they’re released in “waves”, they’re conceptualized and designed together.

Moana is part of said wave.

Frozen is not. Neither is Maleficent. Simple as that.

Even when part of a line, they won’t always use the template but they stick to it for the most part.

The reasoning for Marvel titles is even simpler as ALL the catalog titles are following the same template.

It's just sad though... They could have made something more inspired cause these slipcovers are uninspired to the point of not really representing a Disney film. I have to say that Moana's steelbook isn't that great either. Reminds me of the Signature titles where they use a white background with characters cliparts, I'd still get it cause it's Moana but I'm not thrilled about it. Zootopia is another one that doesn't look so good, I think we just all like these steelbooks cause thank god there is an alternative to these abysmal standard covers but they are not that great.
And to think that had Disney started releasing 4K UHD for new films 5 months earlier, Moana would have gotten a "new release" treatment.

Here the French track is listed as a DD+ 7.1 track, but the first post lists a DD 5.1 track… which is right?
I hope it's not like Aladdin (2019) were both fr-FR and fr-CA tracks were present, but only the fr-FR track was DD+ 7.1.
