Oh that movie will suck so much. Face/off was awesome. Woo, Cage and Travolta in Top Form and after that like never reached again. It will be hard to compete with that, especially when someone things PG13

Literally the first thing that went through my mind when I saw the thread. Give us all the remakes you want as long as you give us spanking new remasters of the original films!

STOP REBOOTING GREAT MOVIES!

Is nothing sacred anymore? These studios are doing some extensive yoga because they are really stretching for profits. Is it me or do these studios seem desperate? There is no originality anymore.

A sequel with Travolta, Cage & Woo would have been excepted with open arms, but they chose to go the route of pissing people off and hurting their potential revenue from these reboots.

Yeah, but the third act would probably involve them teaming up to crush the patriarchy or something.

Wow. Lol

In seriousness though i've actually grown to like the idea of a female version of Face Off. People like to talk about giving women more roles usually played off as "macho" and i can't think of a better way than making a female Face/Off remake with two top actresses in the roles.

They don't have to copy beat for beat, but it would be interesting to see them go that route.

Obviously they're gonna make this a gender-bending movie with Ella Bleu Travolta switching faces, bodies and genders with Weston Cage.

Ha! I was about to post the same thing. This is the only benefit of the Robocop remake as well.

The current BD is, to quote my UK friends, absolute shite. Oi, govn'r, and all that bloody nonsense.

No....just no!

What I can't understand is....just as many of these remakes fail at the box office as succeed...yet they still keep on doing them.

Because an even higher percentage of originals fail.

They should just combine this remake with 'Crank 3' and make it so Statham has to run around town and stay alive long enough to get his face back from some gangster.

So Paramount has a wealth of movies that are sitting in their vaults that they won't release on Blu Ray or 4K but they have the $$$ to remake a film nobody is asking to be remade ? Hollywood really is dead for any original thoughts or ideas for movies.

So Hollywood want to remake a film that is so ****ing mind-numbingly stupid that only the extreme stylistic excess of a talented action director combined with the ultra hamtastic, over the top, don't-hold-anything-back, posturing of two iconic Hollywood stars could possibly make such a giant steaming, stinking turd of a script work on any conceivable level.

Yeah, good luck with recapturing that bonkers magic, coz you're not gonna get it from the ****ing original script, that's for sure!

Paramount has released several original films in the past few years that have been great critically and financially (Arrival, A Quiet Place, Crawl, etc)

They had a rough 2017 but they've been bouncing back since, especially as they've been taking more risks on small-budget and genre films.
