Well if they start stating the bitrate on the cover, you know what happens next, right?
The bitrate wars No matter what CPU had the more efficient set of instructions, Megahertz numbers were Megahertz numbers and there's only one way to go: up Maybe spur on High Def double dipping Superbitrate editions later 20 Mb/s sure will look better on the cover Then 22, 24, 26,... Smart move by Fox. And good news for HD-DVD!TM |

And you know what will happen when BD50s are everywhere... lots of high bitrate transfers... It is going to be really interesting to see if other studios adopt this. |

I thought this is going to be a BD50 release? But with AVC and scant extras, I guess you really don't have to be.
Still have not appeared on Amazon's system for pre-ordering. ![]() fuad |

Amazon's website is SO f'd up. They have a Blu-Ray section and I use that to see the list of all the BD titles available. Sorting by the "Release Dates" I couldn't find X-Men.
I'm trying to include this as part of Amazon's 3-BD promotion but the total amount so far is incredibly high! ![]() fuad Last edited by nyg; 11-09-2006 at 12:52 AM. Reason: removed foul language |

I've called all around the country (from east to west coast) asking about X-Men: The Last Stand on Blu-ray (everything from Suncoast to Target). Everyone said they haven't got them yet. I know that cover scan came from AVS. HighDefDigest.com and The Man Room say it's 50GB. I'm trying to find out if the cover scan is real or photoshopped. Can someone give me a location to were they picked their copy up?

I picked up mine tonight at the local Best Buy. There was a whole slew of this title there too! They were NOT on sale, just $34.99 so I'll get it price-match next week.
Another interesting note, my Best Buy has quit carrying the Toshiba HD-DVD players -- they only carry the Samsung Blu-ray player now. The HD-DVD title area looked a little neglected too, like there were only older titles there and they weren't selling too well. Last edited by Jim L; 11-09-2006 at 01:08 AM. |
