Try using a hairdryer set to low heat to soften the adhesive and peel the sticker off slowly. Works like a charm usually.

When I began collecting I trashed them, soon after I realized that they help protect the clear sleeves that hold your covers. I keep them all now. ALSO ANYONE WHO TRASHES THEM, PEOPLE SPEND CRAZY AMOUNTS OF CASH FOR THEM. I've seen them go for more than the original film price. Most sell for around $5.00...so you guys pitching Slip covers, are all basically burning 5 dollar bills to every film you purchase. You could be on this site with a PayPal account. And if you bought 2 films a month, you could make back $110.00 a year which you could spend on more movies or 220 Jack in the box Tacos...220!!!

That's the very definition of "petty". Just because I have no use for them, doesn't mean I will go out of my way to spite those who do.

I do keep them, but I don't much care if I get one in an Amazon shipment. I don't really get why some collectors are obsessed with them. It's the same art as the case in 99% of cases. I suppose it makes a disc you've purchased feel more "complete" in a way.

I've always thrown them away, and continue to do so for consistency on my shelf. Never knew it was a thing to keep them or collect them until this forum.
I would sell them now but seems like too much work for $5; posting, coordinating with buyer, arranging payment, packaging carefully, dropping off post office etc. I also didn't know about selling digital codes until about a year ago, ha! I found a forum member here who collects in his digital library and has similar tastes in movies with me, so I'm his supplier and he's my buyer...I feel like a drug dealer ![]() ![]() |

Yes. Love my slipcovers, especially the nicer ones; they look so good on the shelf.

I've sold a few slips but I have the same concern. Too much work for too little return. And since folks are pretty dang serious about their slips I don't even want to put myself in a position where someone gives me bad feedback or demands a refund because the slip has a hair on it.

No. They're trash. Why would I wanna add that extra step to take out and put away my disc? Well, I have started putting them in a box instead of throwing them away because I now know how much people value them, but I don't have a phone number, so I can't create a Paypal account, meaning I don't know when and if I will sell them.

This is a forum full of collectors. You get something you don't personally care about but you communicate daily with people here who may want it. How about helping someone out who may be interested? Perhaps you can make some money or trade for something that you DO want.
