A UK release without rating logos in the front cover? Well, I'm genuinely surprised.

Hope that's the US cover too.

That's not the final artwork, it will be updated closer to release date.

Great to see this is being released in the UK. I was worried we weren't going to get this in 4K as eOne have only released a couple of 4K discs before.

I'm sure they can take advantage of their relationship with Universal for this one. Given that Universal would be doing the UK discs for eOne anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the UK discs are simply the usual Universal UK/Australia English-only (or even US) discs.

Thumbs up

Just came back from this. Great film.

If you have a TV that suffers from near black posterization...

I thought Fox were the ones handling eOne's UK discs recently? When did that change? The temp art is blatantly using the Universal template for the banner at the top though, and FWIW the Amazon listing says nothing about eOne at all, just Universal Pictures UK.

[edit]

I reckon eOne just have the theatrical UK rights and Uni will be releasing it outright on UK video.

[edit the second]

Fox did the UK eOne UHD of Arrival, but Universal handled the eOne home video for House with a Clock in its Walls. As the latter was an Amblin production I'm nae surprised that Universal retained the home video rights there.

Universal took over distribution of eOne's titles last year, e.g. The Walking Dead Season 9 was a Universal release.

Seeing this in 7hrs in Dolby Cinema, can't wait. Wish this had a wide release on 12/25, heard nothing but great things about this, very very excited.

let us know how it turns out! If I miss it on the big screen I will no doubt blind buy it on UHD. It will be a great companion piece for Saving Private Ryan.....

Really tempted to go and see this in IMAX. Never seen a film in IMAX before and the film looks fantastic.

I'm glad it didn't have a wide release on 12/25. If it did there was pretty much ZERO chance it would be in IMAX or DC or anything remotely approaching a premium theater experience because SW was in EVERYTHING. The delay made viewing a Dolby Cinema actually possible.

I saw Aquaman in 4DX. I thought it was a bit overwhelming at times, but I think youngsters would love it. For me, Dolby Cinema any and every time I can get it.
