A fourth Syberia game is coming. I know this series has its fans, but personally I've never been able to get into them.

I just played and would like to highly recommend Loco Motive. It's a small tribute to old LucasArts adventures made in just two weeks as part of a game jam. You can name your own price, or just grab it for free.

It's a murder mystery comedy set on board a train. It's only about an hour long, but is overflowing with charm. The writing is witty and has great comic timing, and the graphics perfectly match that early '90s LucasArts look. The puzzles are just the right level of difficulty to be challenging without completely stumping you. Great fun, and impressive for something put together so quickly.

Several adventurey things shown off at the Future Games Show today.

Arctic Awakening. Makes me think of Firewatch with a sci-fi twist.

Gollum from Daedalic. This was announced so long ago now. Looks like it could be leaning towards a 3D platform style game from this.

Life of Delta. Getting Machinarium vibes.

It's absolutely gorgeous, the stylised pixel art is among the best I've ever seen and adds a huge amount of atmosphere to this creepy, dark collection of tales. It's full of detail despite the limitations, and the use of colour is incredible. Light on puzzles, but the ones that are there require you to observe your surroundings carefully and I enjoyed them. The stories are very engaging and often go to some really uncomfortable places, making them all memorable. Its only real downside is the short length (I finished it in 2 hours) but I do feel that it could have required a bit more from the player. Hard to complain when it's free!

Twelve Minutes is now out. I was quite interested this, but reviews have been mixed.
It always seems odd to me when high profile actors are hired, but they don't get to use their natural voices.

A couple of big adventure game reveals from the recent Game Awards. Star Trek: Resurgence is coming from a company made up of ex-Telltale employees. Feels like decades since we've had a Trek game so this is very welcome.

And Telltale themselves are bringing us The Expanse, with links to the TV series.

I wasn't all that interested in this when it was first announced, but after reading/seeing all the reviews it's become much more appealing. Glad to hear.

I was also delighted to see that It Takes Two won GOTY at the Game Awards.
