...Why on Earth would you want to suffer through watching a movie through a bootlegged copy? No wonder piracy is such an issue in the industry today.

You know, there once was a time without Blu-Ray where the image of a video was enough to keep you entertained,

Yea, but - exactly how much time are we talking about here?

Not that I support Piracy, but I will divulge that I have viewed two films that were recorded via guy in the back of a theater with a handheld - I was a sucker for Transformers. (dodges the flung stones)

But on a more on-topic note, I like the handycam view of Cloverfield, makes it feel more hectic - as if I was actually there.

So if it's meant to be a camcorder experience, then the sound won't be the surround experience we are used to in film. Do normal camcorders record 5.1 sound? Or will the soundtrack be 2.0 stereo? I wonder if they want to be authentic to the hand-cam visually but will they do the same with the audio?

Its funny how a movie can be reviewed from a trailer it is not yet in a single theater and those of you who will boycott parmount movies because of DUD just a reminder that IRON MAN is a paramount movie its dvd sales not in theater movies that will force them to go back to blu

Spoiler Alert!!!!

From what I understand it is a giant monster like Godzilla and that when the military continues to shoot at it the scales come off the monster and become smaller monsters or parasites.

I understand it wasn't filmed using one, but if the movie is supposedly someone's hand cam, then my question is if the sound will reflect that as well?

Looks like it's going to be a rough ride for those that don't like that sort of thing! I am with the majority. I can only take some much of the shakiness. Perhaps it won't be so bad since this is REAL film and none of that crap you go to the store and buy off the shelf.
Great... my fears are real. I guess I'm not going to see this movie. If parts of a movie with a shaky camera, I can deal with it. Sometimes it helps, like in war movies. But the whole Blair Watch style for the whole movie...I hate. If I kept hearing a lot of great reviews, I may rent this movie. If not, then I'll pass.

I think it will have a great first weekend, but will soon die in the theaters.

Is this Blair Witch project meets Godzilla? All that running around and fast turning gave me motion sickness.

A new single-shot champ?

Others were a scene in Snake Eyes, and the opening scene of The Player.
