I wonder which are actually up for grabs? Knife of Ice and A Blade in the Dark are the only two that jumped out at me as being recognizable, but I'm no expert on the genre, and again the aforementioned odd translations mean there might be some famous one(s) on there with a translation that isn't standard.

Films of interest in that list;

Interrabang (even though it's a shitty film...)
Nude si Muore / Naked you Die (great film)
Tuo Dolce Corpo per Uccidere / Your sweet body to kill / A Suitcase for a Murder (one of the best gialli I've seen)
Il Sorriso del Ragno (never seen it, translates to the Smile of the Spider)
Diavolo a Sette Facce / The Devil with Seven Faces (an underwhelming and confusing giallo with George Hilton and Carol Baker in a dual role)
Ragazza Tutta Nuda Assassinata Nel Parco / Naked Girl found Dead in the Park (one of my favorites, actually. A solid giallo with Robert Hoffman)
Macchie Solari / Autopsy (pretty good one)

I'm stoked that VS are releasing this. Part of VS's mission statement is to preserve films that would likely otherwise not be preserved, and even if these films turn out to only be ok (I haven't seen any of the three) I think it's great that they won't be erased from history.

Unlike the much better films with a cult following such as Laughing Windows or Black Belly, they wouldn't sell on their own so I think they're perfect for a "Forgotten Giallo" boxed set.

Preordered.

I would love if French Sex Murders (Casa d'appuntamento aka The House of Rendezvous, 1972) would be released by someone.

You’re in luck! Vinegar Syndrome is putting this out too.

We're still figuring out the extras (it's very tough for this one) but at least it looks pretty spectacular. The owner found the camera negative, which was completely uncut and includes the previously tape sourced bits. We've also got the complete Italian track (in addition to the English dub) for the first time.

Watched all three of the films. The package and content are amazing. The films look great.

The films themselves are easily a bit on the lower totem poll of gialli. The Killer is One of 13 has a pretty boring first hour of nonstop talk and most of it on the boring side. When the kills start happening, it gets a little better.

The Police are Blundering in the Dark was meh, and Trauma was easily the best of the set. Not the greatest, but not bad either.

I'm in for volume 2, whenever that comes out.

Police was very meh. Worst of the lot.

I thought 13 was easily the best of the set and the only one that didn't put me to sleep, but Trauma looked the best. It takes a while to get going, but when the killing starts in 13 it never lets up. It also clearly has the highest budget.

watched these today...

i’d say the killer is one of thirteen might be the best, and police are blundering in the dark is competent but not spectacular. i’d say trauma is the least of the bunch.

so i think there’s a chance if you buy this, you might like two out of three. which isn’t bad. but i don’t know how much you would like these if you weren’t someone who is super into gialli.

worth it to pick up on the sale if you’re curious.

Watched Trauma. Decent movie. Another great commentary by Troy. While this movie doesn't elevate gialli, this is what's cool about this set: it's unseen, lesser known. I'm eager to watch the others and other volumes.
