Ditto! I always count 1986 as the year my fandom started, but that's only because I was four then and I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't watch the show.

In case anyone missed it, you can now pre-order both Dr Who and the Daleks and Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 AD directly from KL for $17.97 each (also on Amazon for a higher price, but I'm sure that will drop before release).

Robert Shearman wrote the very best episode of NuWho - Dalek, which pitted the last Time Lord against the last Dalek - and several Who audio stories, so is an inspired choice for a commentary.

It's a damn shame that Rob hasn't done more writing for the series. I thought his Big Finish work was really, really good (and Dalek is still one of the show's best).

DALEK is a fantastic, brilliant episode -- everything worked and flowed in that one.

I haven't seen anything that officially confirms or denies, but my gut says these will be A-locked releases.

Now I want sit down and watch that episode and the two Cushing movies in a weird triple bill!

I was wondering that, too! I'm guessing there was a little copy/paste error on the part of whoever from KL wrote the Facebook posts. Guess we'll find out for sure later, hopefully when the titles are added to KL's website.

I can kind of see the wisdom. If this was a box set, sure - only one copy on one disc. But as two standalone releases (although I cant imagine someone buying one without the other), I can understand wanting to put a documentary on both.

In other news, K/L did mention that the Dalek's in the title for Invasion Earth was a typo. It'll be Daleks' on the final release.

Tom was the first Doctor that I watched. At this time I would put Pat at the top. Matt Smith is in the mix also. It's hard to pick just one.

Update from Kino Lorber on the prints:

"Both are the same 2K restorations previously released in the UK."

So if you already have one (or many) of the UK releases, it seems like there's no A/V reason to pick these up. A new commentary and/or the new box art may provide other reasons to double-dip though.
