You're not American, so it's not like you would be biased towards spelling it the incorrect way.
The thing is, the poster misspelled it, and i'm just too used to correct the misspell of the poster.

Spelling issues.....capitalization issues.....controversial tie-breakers.....

What has this tournament come to??!!

My vote would go to LTK.

i don't care if YOLT,DAF,OHMSS is different in plot and/or order.
i want the movies to be enjoyable.
also some of the movies are straight up completely original (Goldeneye best example)
Maybe as a bond film it's the closest, not the the character.
lastly, it doesn't mean it necessarily translates well to the big screen.
I don't even know what the hell is going on here.

Casino Royale is generally regarded as one of the best in the series and the closest to the source material in spirit. It also was a huge success and received the best reviews of the entire series. So...yeah...whatever. Have a good day.

This is not 007 bond tournament. This is to decide which is the best Bond movie where Connery baldness should have been used...

What poster are you talking about that misspelled it?

Are you talking about the poster for the actual movie? Are you saying that "Licence" in Licence To Kill is incorrect?

Because it's not. "Licence" is the correct English spelling for that word when applied to a noun. That is how that word is spelled in the entire English speaking world except for the United States. That is because the United States has adopted a simplified system of spelling which favours (not favors) removing redundant letters or replacing them with letters that are seen to be more phonetically convenient.

As Licence To Kill was a largely British production they chose to ignore using the American spelling for the title and the correct film title is "Licence To Kill".

Even if the title were misspelled, you should still be calling it "Licence To Kill". You wouldn't change Inglourious Basterds to Inglorious Bastards, would you?

what is your problem with Connery? Did he decline you an autograph or something? First the ZARDOZ thing and now baldness posts... what is your motive?

I'm not sure either but from the tone of his posts I get the sense he's the type of person who needs a safety helmet and vest everywhere he goes so I'm sort of tuning him out.

according to the image provided by Grammarly it's spelled correctly.
since he isn't licenced to kill but he has a license to kill
i wouldn't change Inglorious Basterds because it's a shitty movie

I also want to know what Daniel Craig did to Henri. I've been speculating that he must have pissed in his gas tank right after accusing his mother of being a hamster and his father of smelling of elderberries. It's the only logical explanation.

I have a problem when i see inferior stuff being praised just because people simply dont care. Look at Americas President. So, Whenever i spot crap being praised i need to say crap about it.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, it's Goldfinger.
And just because the majority regards it as one of the best doesn't mean it actually is.
and again, just because something is close to the source material doesn't mean it adapts well.
(Example: Harry Potter 1&2)

Answer this simple question:
Between Star Wars episode 1,2,3 VS 7,8,9
what is better?

Apart from one early promo poster...

the final title has always been spelt LICENCE, which is correct to the British way of spelling.

Even in the USA...

You're getting it backwards and since Grammarly is your go-to, here is a link that spells it out to you:

https://www.grammarly.com/blog/licence-license/

And, again, even if the title of the film was incorrect grammatically, the onscreen title is still LICENCE TO KILL so that's how you should be spelling it so quit doubling-down on your ignorance.

And how is your subjective opinion relevant to how you would spell the title in a discussion about the film?

You know what though? You're kind of semi-trolling yourself and you're the one that started this thread so you should at least be striving for some sort of maturity, objectivity and responsibility. Your silly attitude and behaviour has made me lose interest in participating in your game anymore.

You can thank Noah Webster for that, he hated the British and wanted to draw as much distinction as he could. He even suggested we use 'tung' for 'tongue.' That one didn't stick.

Americans also print 'practice' whether you use it as a noun or a verb. We are inconsistent.

I wonder why there is a different spelling? Is the American spelling a mistake repeated so often it became official? I mean it's the same language.
