BD arrived today from Amazon UK, including slip. Looking forward to watching this again and on BD.

Does anybody know what the Easter egg is on the disc? I don't have a BD drive on my computer so can't look myself.

It is a couple of pages of the Starbug user manual that appears in the show.

How does it look on BD?

I had to watch it in SD on Dave and it looked absolutely dreadful.

Haven't broken the seal on my copy yet but I expect it will be of a similar quality to the previous seasons, highly doubt it will be worse.

Three weeks later, and I got sick of waiting for Zavvi to fulfill my pre-order. Ordered from eBay instead.

The broadcast version was of such meh SD quality so can’t wait to fire up the disc and have a proper viewing.

I've had a pre-order at Zavvi for something released two weeks ago just get dispatched today weirdly.

Dave commissioned a retrospective documentary called Red Dwarf: The First Three Million Years, I think the intention was for it to be included on The Promised Land disc but the pandemic messed things up. You can check it out here (with some clips from the show cut for copyright purposes):

It’s been on Dave last 3 weeks and still available on their UKTV Play streaming but think that’s only UK IP addresses.

Expect those DM videos to be deleted for copyright infringement when UKTV find out.

All the series’ are available on blu-ray.
Series 1-8 are in a boxset and the other releases are available as stand alone sets.

You put Back to Earth on the shelf where series IX would go. It’s not series 9 though, that’s part of the big in-joke!

Well technically they are as there is a Japanese release.

I don’t believe so, no US equivalent as far as I’m aware, not sure if the Japanese releases came out or not either?
This is a UK released set, the Blu-Rays were region free set to the correct PAL formatting (so you may potentially have issues with this set if your TV does not support the PAL format?) and the extras discs for each season were just ported from the DVD sets so they are all region 2 locked (except the ‘Bodysnatcher’ extras which are on a Blu Ray).
