Was really hoping for HD audio but looks like we are getting DVD quality Dolby Digital 1.0 Mono instead.

Just odd this back cover is missing aspect ratio info?

They do on occasion, just say 1080p.

Money is going to be very tight for me going for the next couple years at least, and I'm absolutely done dropping money on compromised product that I know will frustrate me equally, or more than, it satisfies.
I've gone through this enough now to know that after a while, the satisfaction of simply finally having something dissipates and the frustration of it being stupidly less than it should be remains omnipresent.

For a release with solid A/V and the correct OAR, I'll dig deep and sacrifice in some other area, as I'd been waiting for this set for a while (and have been enjoying the Charile's Angels set much more than I ever expected to).
And just like CA, aspect ratio is going to be the deal killer for me here- if it's modified.

Since it's not coming from WA, but from the division with a history of cropping vintage TV for the "fill my frame" crowd, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Also, THE DEADLY DOLPHIN is missing 3 minutes on DVD and streaming. The vhs is complete. WB should have gone back to the masters for the blu. I hope they did, but it doesn't look promising.

This is very good news, but I'm disappointed that it's coming from WHV and not WAC. It's upsetting that almost 15 years (!) into the format, WHV might not author a Blu-ray properly with lossless audio and instead use DVD-quality Dolby Digital, though I'm more hopeful this will be OAR since they have, at least been good about that.

Also, I'm not looking forward to seeing the compression and low bitrates. Wonder Woman was recently released on DVD in Japan for the first time, and the first, second and third seasons added up to 14 single-sided, dual-layered DVD-9 discs, so my guess is that the first season (718 minutes) is 3xBD, while the second (1087 minutes) is 4xBD and the third (1137 minutes, plus hopefully those 3 additional minutes from "The Deadly Dolphin") is 5xBD. Since this puts WHV well into their beloved 200+ minutes per disc territory, hopefully, none of those are BD-25 discs, but I'm not holding my breath. One thing we can hopefully look forward to are some foreign language options, possibly including hidden Japanese since WB went to the expense of doing the aforementioned complete series on DVD with dubbing there back in 2017-2018.

I will say, though, that this was more or less expected after the success of Batman (1966), Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero and Batman: The Animated Series on Blu-ray. Couple these releases with the fact that Gal Gadot's performances in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and (in all likelihood) Wonder Woman 1984 have made Wonder Woman the standout character of the DC Trinity in recent years, and that there isn't much more Wonder Woman product to tie-in to the new feature film, and this is an enormously welcome, but not very surprising release.

However, I have wanted this show on Blu-ray for years, and as much as I'm bracing for a Blu-ray release that is just "good" as opposed to the superlative set the show deserves, I will definitely be buying this, as long as it is in OAR.

The missing footage from The Deadly Dolphin is present in the 4:3 HD version on the DC Universe streaming service. The iTunes running time is 45:13 and the DC Universe running time is 47:38. The cut on the iTunes version occurs at 36:11 when Diana is captured and the guy says "Throw her on board. I don't want to be late for the party." The iTunes version skips over the aquarium scene and the boat scene that occur immediately after this and goes straight to the scene of the car driving down the road.

I think Warner has two HD masters for this TV series: an older 16:9 one used for iTunes/Amazon/Vudu and a newer 4:3 used for the DC Universe streaming service. Hopefully, the blu-ray uses the latter.

The HD remaster on DC Universe is 4:3 and had all the film impurities removed even from stock footage scenes which is greatly appreciated, but the color correction is terrible. Only a handful of scenes look better. Hopefully this one is that remaster but without the color correction, or only for the scenes that were improved with it.

Also, speaking of cut scenes from certain episodes on digital, I think the biggest instance is actually "The Man Who Coult Not Die" from Season 3. The entire cold opening is missing.

Best news of the week!!! Thank you Warner Bros.! : )

They should include that short "Brave and the Bold" cartoon as a bonus!

We should drop a message to the company.

Most of the series, especially past season one, is unwatchable. But whatever floats your boat.

Oh yeah, this will be mine. Now, if only they would release The Incredible Hulk stateside, I would be happy.

The missing footage from The Man Who Could Not Die is present in the 4:3 HD version on the DC Universe streaming service. The iTunes running time is 43:51 and the DC Universe running time is 47:40. As you mentioned, the cut is at the beginning. The entire 3:58 opening scene before the opening credits is missing on the iTunes version.

Wow is it Christmas already? This is my favorite tv show of all time along with The Bionic Woman!
I can't wait! Hopefully original ratio.
Sad to see no new featurette produce though, not even with the passing of Lyle Waggoner.
I prefer season 2 and 3 to be honest but I love love love all of this show.
I can't believe. YeaH!!

TRIVIA:

In Italy, the show was a huge hit. And went in syndacation for decades.

They never aired Season 1, LMAO. We only know Season 2 and 3.

In the Italian dubbing, Diana was spelt "D-I-A-N-A" (not "Daiana"), so basically we always called her that way since then.

Oooh, nice! I wouldn't have expected a BD release for this series, but I think I'm up for buying it. And this will probably save a little space over the current DVD sets.
