Worth about £5 million a week, I'm told.

I made an order for Argento's Sleepless yesterday. It said there was an issue with my address for some reason, but using Paypal got round it.
Now I know why.

This afternoon I ended up contacting Zavvi via live chat to ask why this 'in stock, normally despatched within 24 hours' item still hadn't been shipped. I was very polite rather than being a nightmare (no pun intended). The person was very helpful and an hour later, I finally received email notice that the set had been despatched. Like I said, I don't mind waiting longer for delivery but you expect the actual process to begin within a reasonable amount of time.

Hasn't been cancelled or dispatched. But I did get an email that outstanding overseas orders will be shipped.

It's taken almost that long just for the blu-ray set to finally start leaving the Zavvi warehouse. And even then, it was only after I questioned it on live chat today that Zavvi then sorted it out. Dread to think of the actual wait if I hadn't gone to the effort of contacting them and chasing it up.

I think many retailers are working on this in different ways.

With the likes of Zavvi, Zoom and Bass I have found they all shipped pre-orders in a timely manner so they must prioritise those at the end of the week to get them all out for release day.

As a result it seems to be orders of existing in stock titles which seem to take forever to despatch. Must put them at the back of the queue.

Yeah, I see they have updated their policies. For those that haven’t ordered yet, they will hold those orders until things calm down to prevent titles becoming out of stock.

Best of luck, I hope you get your stuff asap.

I cancelled one 'in stock' order at Zavvi a week or so back after waiting 12 days for it to (not) dispatch. Re-ordered for 50p less from Base and it arrived within 2-3 days after ordering. Have only used Zoom for pre-orders recently, but they only seems to be taking an extra day to arrive (so on the Saturday or on release day), which is incredible. (Unlike Zoom's packaging, which has turned from nice recyclable brown envelopes to horrible plastic bin bags.)

I am glad to hear Zavvi and the others are prioritising pre-orders though - that makes a lot of sense. It's unfortunate that Arrow appeared to do the reverse recently, although I imagine (hope) it was not by design.

Still, I am eternally grateful to all shippers and deliverers of my blus - it has been a blessing to be able to keep that level of normality, despite everything that is going on. It's clear from this thread and others that there is a lot of appreciation on this front for continued service!

Things seem to be mostly normal for me, but the odd one or two items have gotten stuck in the system somewhere. Perhaps it is certain postal depots that are particularly overrun/understaffed right now? On the whole I can't complain though

***Aclea*** I'm sincerely sorry to be informed of the death of of any postie. Simply reading your text, that was at Aberdeen, where I live is near Birmingham. I read google news quite a bit and have digital Daily mail and nothing comes to mind. Being a fair man, I'm happy to shake CWU's hand with regard several items posted 2Nd class recorded recently, all but one got there in a matter of days that many would rate as 1St class. It simply amazes me that delivery companies in general didn't realise that when all the shops closed a little while ago that purchaces would simply move to internet instead. There are a million newly unemployed and a lot of people on tax payer funded lay off
