Oh, and just being helpful to hardcore deep-cut Disney fans, the "making of" Third Man on the Mountain (which is where the Matterhorn came from at Disneyland) is available through Vudu....it's called Perilous Assignment. It's there. So is Operation Undersea (the original "making of" 20,000 Leagues). Third Man on the Mountain also available as a separate purchase. Available as purchase, but not on Disney+.

I would love to see some of the Wonderful World of Color, Disney shows like Texas John Slaughter, the Moochie movies, or Mooncussers be released on DVD or Disney+.

Iger said "eventually" the catalog titles will appear on Disney+, but as incredible as that would be -- to have the Walt-hosted TV episodes like Slaughter, Gallagher, Zorro, Swamp Fox, Baca, etc. -- I'm skeptical that will ever happen.

I'll bet "Song of the South" isn't one of them though. Luckily some of them are on YouTube, but it would be nice to own them as well.

Films? No i won't as I will only buy the movies on 4K Blu-Ray/Blu-Ray through DMC, now tv shows are different as an example I'll buy a show like Darkwing Duck complete series off Itunes rather than subscribe to Disney+ as i'm show specific and don't want to continue to pay monthly for something I can pay for once. I don't need to see their complete library of stuff.

I have the Japanese laserdisc of Song of the South. Not holding my breath it will ever see the light of day again. Physical media, friends. Grab it when you can.

Exactly my philosophy if you want it, get it while you can.

I wanted to complete my Marvel MCU movie collection on UHD BD (my favorite ever way to watch anything) and believe I was only missing 4 titles.

Turns out all 4 in stock (it was funny they had 3 of each left there's finite number of HT guys in my area) and on sale at my local Best Buy so I just completed the set. So yes, I will continue to buy Disney Movies ... I like Disney UHD BD best.

Going to watch them all in order now.

Edit - Bonus fun I have all those in Movies Anywhere but only in HD so I will be able to upgrade them all.

I don't anticipate I will ever subscribe to D+ If they keep printing the hard copy it's what I prefer... Bonus ... comes with the online steaming version as well ... the only way to go really.

Time to focus on the missing Pixar stuff.

Quick tip for anyone who does continue to buy Disney Digital -> iTunes sells only HD but Movies Anywhere sells 4K and you can play back your 4K Disney via MA on ATV4K.

Yeah, I have a bootleg DVD I bought on Ebay that was sourced from the VHS copy. The best I could find since I don't own a laser disc player.

I will continue to buy all physical releases and use my digital codes. That being said, I love Disney+.

Yes. Disney's 4K movies are very expensive. I hardly ever see a price drop on the physical discs below $20. If it happens, I always miss a deal. So I will just watch them on Disney+

I'll still buy any new MCU and Star Wars releases. I'll also pick up something like Toy Story 4 to complete the collection, but other than those few things I'm definitely scaling back my Disney Blu-ray pick ups.

I bought Beauty and the Beast off eBay and received the live action even though I purchased the Animated film. Price was fine so I decided to just keep but but alerted the seller.

I bought Monsters Inc for $10 from eBay but it's been lost in USPS for a while so I hope it shows up.

I LOVE when people want to offload those terrible UHD BD that happen to have the highest quality version of the material in question. And I don't usually need the codes because I have them all in HD at least online. Do you know what the difference between ==D+ 4K and UHD BD 4K ? ... Each uses different codecs but the UHD BD is a much larger file size because 80% of the data didn't have to be thrown out so that it steams without buffering or going to potato vision.

I completed my Star Wars and Marvel for now and I'm working on the Pixar and older Disney movies at the same time.

That reminds me ... I've been kind of on the fence about the little mermaid and If it's still at my Newbury I'm going to go pick it up. I prefer buying used locally because with EBay you find out what you get eventually.

I’ve gotten close to 20 Marvel/Disney/Pixar titles on 4K disc for $10 or less via the steelbook sales Best Buy has been having since December. That being said, the newer 4K steelbook releases like Frozen 2/Onward have sold out week one of release, and lower production runs for newer steelbook releases, so I highly doubt there will be sales on titles such as Up and Wall-E, in which case I’ll probably resort getting non-steelbook 4K copies from DMC.

I think if I didn’t already own so many Disney titles already I would enjoy Disney + more. Maybe. I jumped on the 3 year subscription for $150 or so, but we never use it. So far for our family it has been a bust. I think we have maybe watched 3 movies on it so far. If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t have signed up. I know I am in the minority here.

I agree though.....

A friend of mine has D+ so we watched a few baby Yoda episodes. There is plenty of great about the service but I have been buying Disney movies for many years and own so much of what I want that the service would offer.

And, I tried watching Cars on D+ and it looked bad. Maybe that's my internet. I watched Cars 2 on UHD BD last night and no matter what my internet does the UHD BD has all the data right there so I get the full quality.

I would rather buy content than be on the hook and feel I have to go watch something because the money is flowing regardless.

Plus, my youngest child is a teen so I don't need them to be watching on iPad while I shop for groceries.... That moment passed and I never did that anyway.

Give it another year and the catalog stuff on Dis+ will be an afterthought. Lots of really good exclusive content coming that will be the reason you will need to subscribe

We shall see... Maybe I will get interested at some point. I hope Disney keeps putting out UHD BD because that's what I prefer.

Watched Cars 2 last night and it was great.
