....and i love your avatar!
Thanks!

I hope history is not on your side here! Good luck

[Show spoiler]Or if you don’t want to take that chance and you can live with a slightly imperfect copy of the first steelbook, shoot me a PM I will certainly beat any eBay price currently out there

just my take is that I don't think the value of the previous steelbook will go down even if this next edition is better in every way.. The previous blu-ray itself can be bought for 4 dollars sometimes if you are lucky, I did last year and I did it mostly just to have the digital copy. But what is the max price 10 dollars?
People aren't on ebay right now paying 60 dollars for the movie. They are paying that cash to get that excellent looking steelbook.
Just even though I love the look of that steelbook I could never consider paying that.
It is one of those dumb movies that I honestly enjoy the hell out of but it's not so good that I'm willing to pay 40 + for.

A steelbook designed after a major prop in the movie, complete with debossing, has more collectible value to fans.

That is why some items (classic Marvel steelbooks and older Funko Pops) don't lose their value.

Did not like Matt Ferguson art on Marvel Steelbooks and don't like it here.

Definitely like this artwork over the previous steelbook. They are both good and will be happy to have them.
Would, very much, like to see more Matt Ferguson artwork on physical media. I have quite a few prints from BNG that he’s done over the years.

Yikes, guess I need to get off of my lazy rear end and do something with my extra copy of that gorgeous steelbook. It is a beaut.

And also (more importantly) my NIB Oppo 205.

Cheers,

David

Same here, most of the time it’s an easy pass for me. But I really like this one.

First post updated with pre-order link.

Starting price at $27.99 must be a first for a Disney 4K steelbook.

Hmm, hopefully a start of a trend if they see physical as more of a niche market now with the emphasis on Disney+?

Yeah, the spell book steel is superior*. But... I'm a mark for this movie. I bought the original blu, the Target digipack, and the previous steel, I'll be grabbing this too.

*That said, it's alright.

I got the book one last year, I still prefer that even if it's not 4k.

Meh on the art. Might snag the regular 4k on sale and just put the disc in the "Book" steel from a couple years back.
