It's very fitting that this is being released the same day as Full Metal Jacket 4K. I'd love to see a shouting match between Fletcher and Sgt. Hartman. Of course if fists were thrown then Hartman would mop the floor with Fletcher.

I also liked First Man more on a second viewing. I think it's good, maybe even very good. But not great.

Actually, I was surprised when I first heard Chazelle was going to do it. Just didn't seem to be in his wheelhouse. And I don't think it was.

I'd say Chazelle's career is too small (4 features) and he's still too young (35) to define a wheelhouse for him.

See what I mean about those sales being an indicator of possible UHD releases?

If Zavvi could make a 4K Steelbook keeping their design foe their Blu-Ray Steelbook, that'd be something.

I’ll be interested in the review for this disc before buying. Have only watched my BBY steelbook copy one time.

If I get this it’ll go into that steelbook case.

Also, I always thought this would be part of a Classics Vol 2 or 3 release, not as a single release. Hmmm. Now wondering about what or if Classics 2 or 3 will happen.

Most definitely. This announcement made want to watch it again so I did. Miles did a fantastic job, and the film has one of the best endings ever. So satisfying.

A tempting upgrade... I really love this movie and watch it a bunch.

Its quite dark though, so I'm not sure if it would benefit massively from the UHD upgrade. But I'll likely grab this at some point...

Not sure how much better this will look in 4K when it was originally shot in 1080p. Love the blu-ray, but will wait for the UHD reviews before purchasing.
