George Lazenby is the worst person to play James bond

He's very good. Had he played the role for a decade and gotten a chance to "settle into" it, he would have been a great Bond. It's only the stigma of being the only "one-off" Bond that make people think he was inadequate.

As much as I don’t hate the films in the series (each still has a character of its own), I still have my fair share of criticisms for some of the titles.

For one, with Live and Let Die, that whole vodoo thing still bothers me. Never mind that the film has a killer title song, but those scenes literally have nothing to do with the Bond franchise as a whole.

The Man With The Golden Gun is still silly, when you think about it, not to mention it has pacing issues.

Spectre also has the worst trailer of any Bond film: "Hey, let's reveal the secret villain!"

Not in a world where Craig has been in the roll.

(Mind you, a great deal of that is the shit scripts he's been given - Laurence Olivier couldn't save that nonsense)

If it weren't for Barbara Carrera, Never Say Never Again would have been just flat out awful.

IMHO, each James Bond actor did a great job given the times in which they produced their movies. There are several bad Bond movies but I just don't see any bad portrayals of the character; I like 'em all. Lazenby doesn't get the credit he deserves because he just had OHMSS, but that is a damn decent movie.

Octopussy

No Time To Die shouldn't even count because no one has seen it yet.

it's a disappointing film with a particularly awful musical score. Carrera definitely enhances the proceedings...

Personally I think most of Roger Moore’s James Bond movies is the worst of the bunch since he was the worst James Bond of them all.

I find Lazenby sort of four-square and clunky. Even Roger Moore had more panache. Telly Savalas wasn't all that great of a villain either. Lots and lots of pretty girls though. Many say that if Connery had hung around to make OHMSS that it would have been the best Bond ever, but I wonder....

[QUOTE=beamish13;17845060]Crazy that someone voted for You Only Live Twice. It’s easily the best ever

You Only Live Twice was my first Bond ever when my parents brought me and my sister to the big screen movie theater with them to see it when I was just six years old. My father was an avid James Bond fan, and this was my indoctrination. I was mesmerized. So, it's a sentimental favorite for me. Up to that point it had been "101 Dalmatians" and "Herbie: The Love Bug" types of movies for me. You Only Live Twice was a quantum leap in my movie viewing experience - that is until 2001: A Space Odyssey came along about a year or so later. The title sequence with Nancy Sinatra is just outstanding. Curses to those who attempt to vote it down!!
