Oopsy. Someone should have told the creator(s) of this petition that "Warner Brothers" doesn't exist. That's how it's pronounced, but "Warner Bros." is the name of the company. All spelled out, it's technically not anything at all. Guess this will be falling on even deafer ears considering it's addressed to no one. LOL

A lot of people did sign that petition.

But did anyone read what they wrote? There are impassioned pleas, some comments on it's time for a resolution.

There's a lot of good natured ribbing by the blu-crowd, but there's also some mean spirited "dancing on the hd dvd grave" type of posts.

In other words, people just love to write stuff for others to read.

Thumbs down

Petitions mean nothing when the cause is not one of a social or moral dilemna.

Money talks, this BS will walk.

Only petition that matters is the one where HD DVD owners went MIA after the announcement:

Warner, you too could sell 6000 units of a title that HD-DVD enthusiasts will otherwise be resigned to buy on Blu Ray anyway...

I think people are venting their frustration with a supposed "neutral" site that posts a Save the HD-DVD Ship petition on it's front page news items. It's very irritating.

I think HDD is getting really low lately. The place is full of HD-DVD fudsters, all out of control it seems. Now news of a useless online petition makes it in the homepage.

Maybe they should have taken the time to see how many actual HD DVD supporters signed the petition. I was just reading through it. If they deleted the anti HD DVD signatures it would be much less than 6,000. Would they even DARE send that to Warner with all the crap that people wrote on it? No one would take it seriously.

The sad thing is people can sign these petitions as many times as they want. I would no be surprised is half the number of signatures count.
The war needs to end, not be prolonged. WB knows that they are going to upset people with this, but the industry needs WB to make the choice. If WB changed now, it would hurt their image and confuse people EVEN MORE!

Warner's mind has been made up since Sep/Oct - they just needed to watch Q4 to show them their decision was the right one.

It's just sad that HDD is posting fluff like this as a main news story.

Given the ratio of Blu-ray sales to HD-DVD, those 6000 don't buy many movies. I suspect it's made up of a bunch of little fan-boys without much of a budget.

Instead of signing online petitions, they should've bought more movies.
