Or... Shout! Select(?) And... Curly Sue? (Okay, I must stop now.)

Shoot me... but I thought the Don't Tell Mom's DVD was not so terrible. I mean, compared to Blu = yes. Absolutely. But I was charmed. I've watched it twice since last November alone (when I got my first widescreen TV, 1080HD).

The most underrated comedy of the 90s. Kirsten Dunst is her usual amazing self and Kirstie Alley is also very funny in this. So glad this is finally being upgraded to BD and I can retire my crappy DVD.

It’ll be $11 in 2021 if you buy it during one of their 4 for $44 sales.

I was shocked when I saw this pop up on the front page -- I never expected it to get released on BD. I tried watching the DVD a few weeks back and turned it off because I thought it looks so poor. Instant buy!

I remember avoiding this film at the theaters because the reviews were not very good (46% positive on RT). I finally saw it at the second run theater and thinking "What's the matter with these critic? This is a very good, very funny film." Maybe not quite up to Michael Ritchie's Smile but still well worth seeing.

Buying it now from DD during their 15% off sale.

My rule of thumb: critics hate it? I'll probably like it.

But what if it gets a critical reappraisal in later years? Will you then have to change your opinion to hating it now that the critics like it.

It has been know to happen that one loves something and, it just so happens nobody else does, or it's a hidden gem, a niche product. Suddenly everyone starts to love it, it loses that special something, and maybe also because of the related sudden overexposure, it becomes less interesting.
So yes, I would agree. It is possible.

This movie has definitely gotten a positive reappraisal, but still no one has heard of this movie. Every new person I show it to is seeing it for the first time.

Thanks! Not only was it cheaper but I forgot Bullmoose has no tax for me. Also it turned out I had some points on there from like a year or so ago so it was only like 8 bucks.

Warner Archive is MOD in the sense that they're very limited runs and further pressings are dependent on demand, but they're pressed discs, not burned. Their release is confirmed as 1.85:1.

Got ya, I probably should have known that already. Pretty sure I've bought some WA titles before. Thanks anyway for the clarification
