One more to go... I'm actually gonna be bummed after the finale, because this was something I looked forward to every week. I'm not ready to let go.

I suppose there's no story to tell for Godfather part II is there?

Great show. Way better than I thought it would be.

There was plenty of drama for making part 2, but it involves well known actors and not snobby suits that are convenient villains.

Finally finished it. It's a good limited series. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's entertaining. Especially if you are a fan of The Godfather. If not, this might get you into The Godfather. Hell, even Star Wars fans can find something in this to get into. The only thing with the show is that its not really all that accurate to the real-life story. I mean, at the core it is. But not 100% exactly. Still, gotta do what you gotta do to make a good show. Regardless of accuracy, its a good mini-series about Hollywood and making movies in general. So get it a shot (no pun intended).

Finished it... Now I'm legit bummed. I looked forward every Thursday night coming home from work(second shifter meh), everyone else in the house asleep, just me lounging in the dark with my headphones, and the next episode of The Offer to crack open. Now it's done. I actually want to spend more time with these characters, I don't care what it's about. Alas, it is what it is...

I've always been a fan of The Godfather individually and as a trilogy, and this limited series makes for quite a lovely companion to the first film, and I do hope that it can be released on physical media.

The critics can go sleep with some fishes, there are Emmy worthy performances on that show and it was entertaining as hell watching the journey to cinematic greatness.

I really enjoyed it. IMO that was a great period in Hollywood because the studios really delivered the goods when it came to films.

Episode 10 felt a little off to me, as well as Ruddy's motivation for not doing the Godfather 2 (which apparently weren't the real life reasons).

Could have been interesting for them to go a little further with Littlefeather and the John Wayne brewhaha side stage during the Oscar ceremony, but understand why they didn't, and it wasn't necessary to the story.

A great series actually. Matthew Goode should Emmy nom'd.

I loved the series. Charles Bludhorn and Bob Evans were my fave characters. It probably won’t happen but I’d like to see another season.

Just finished the last episode and what a great series especially if you love The Godfather.

Just read a review by Melanie McFarland of Salon. Perfect evidence of why critics no longer matter or are trustworthy. Terrible piece of writing.

Salon also hires someone who doesn’t even like The Godfather to write this review.

Critics on RT 50%, Audience 97%, that about sums it up.

The Audience score should go first.

If you haven't read Leave the Gun, Take the Canoli, do so! Terrific book. Better than any series could be.

This! They were extremely good in this series. I thought it was executed very well and we learned a lot about Al Ruddy although I didn't care much for the deep voice Miles Teller used.

Definitely entertaining/enjoyable and a must see for any fan of The Godfather.

I thought the voice was great characterisation, it helps separate that character from some of the other ones MT has played recently

I see what you’re saying. I just felt he was trying a little too hard to be Elizabeth Holmes.

To me, it just sounded like what I imagine a legendary movie producer would sound like.

Coming to BD. Did Paramount+ stream this at 4K?

Googling and reviewing select hits reveals the typical difference between a second (third?) tier service such as Paramount+ and the stronger players on 4K support. It appears as though Par+ does not feature it but if you're paying the higher price for Par+ Premium you get it but only on a select few shows. I'm even seeing some reddit indication that the service is less than honest about what's truly available in 4K.

In any event, it also appears you can't pull up the title page of any show unless you're a subscriber. I like being able to look at spec and availability on, say, iTunes even though I'm not a regular Apple streaming subscriber.

Looks like I'll be renting this BD from 3DBD Rental. Looking forward to the show.

It is supposed to be coming out on Blu-ray, but I only find the set on DVD. Is it a later release or a major screw up from Paramount?

There was a Blu-ray listing on Deepdiscount but it's gone now. Only DVD.
I hope it's not a sign of things to come with Paramount.
They were doing so well with their disc releases.
There's just no way I'm buying this on DVD.

Amazon has it listed as DVD only. This is beyond ridiculous.
