So glad I didn't buy either the remastered blu-rays or the 4k on VUDU. You can't fool me, Paramount!

Day One.

$5 just means you can break even by selling the code to someone else. Not a bad deal!

I got suckered by the 4K Vudu trilogy for $15... Can't complain though, I'll still buy the disc. For whatever reason:

Amazon only sells 1 and 2 in 4K HDR10, but not 3.
Vudu only sells 2 and 3 in 4K HDR10, but the first movie is only available in 4K SDR.
Google Play only offers the trilogy in HD, not in 4K or HDR.
iTunes sells all three in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR

AWESOME! One of the first r-rated movies i ever watched on video back in 85 when i was 4 and one of my all time faves.

This classic should look slicker than ever on UHD 4K.

I'm all over this one. And Part II would be a welcome surprise.

This looks excellent on 4K DV. You guys are in for a treat if you like the 1980s look. Conservative usage of HDR but looks lush with a nice layer of film grain.

I didn't get the blu ray trilogy, but considering how long it took them to release 2 and 3 in relation to 1 on blu ray, I have a feeling we'll be waiting quite a while to see 2 and 3 come to 4K.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see the trilogy sometime mid next year after fans have bought the 1st individually. Though I don’t think it’ll be much longer. As in this case, the masters are long done, Paramont could have easily put the trilogy in 4K last year. Time will tell though of course.

Or maybe it was smart of all us who did get it, to encourage the studios that physical media isn’t completely dead
