Swan Song will have a slip, with the slip depicting the artwork I think is stronger - with Pitsenbarger looking flamboyant and the film’s supporting characters depicted in picture frames - while the standard art is the theatrical poster I’m less big on as it depicts a scene quite insignificant and late in the film, with him in a wheelchair alongside street traffic.
I rarely buy DVDs of new films but Luzzu (under the Peccadillo Panorama banner) has some strong extras listed on Amazon that I might have to: Quote:

YES!!!!!!!!
It has been almost exactly 12 months since I saw it at the cinema. Such a beautiful and tender film. I was dismayed that the distributor in Australia didn't give it a physical media release - straight to streaming only. On the bright side had they released it it would only have been DVD so I would have ended up double dipping for deserved UK Blu Ray release. Thank you so much Peccadillo Picture ![]() |

Some DVD only titles.
Boy Meets Boy (released yesterday) https://shop.peccapics.com/collectio.../boy-meets-boy Quote:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/COLLINI-CAS...dp/B09BYDQ8ZP/ Sweetheart - 29th November https://www.amazon.co.uk/SWEETHEART-...dp/B09CRM3JWC/ The Collini Case doesn't seem to be in many cinemas - it was listed on Cineworld's "coming soon" for a while, but they don't seem to be showing it. However, Sweetheart is a windowed release for a change - the website states in cinemas September 24th and on-demand October 25th. So, this means the film should play in more venues than usual, with it listed on the coming soon on Picturehouse's website. It's been a long time since Picturehouse screened a Peccadillo title - 2019 saw them play Are You Proud? and The Shiny Shrimps. They had And Then We Danced listed in their programming the week cinemas closed in March 2020, but of course they never managed to screen it. Cicada is listed on FDA for 5th November, but no information on whether it is a windowed or a day and date release. |

If you can find a cinema near your that's actually screening it (Peccadillo's titles never play wide and even less so with chains' aversion to day and date digital releases), MUBI Go have selected the title for next week as their free ticket.
I guess the release for it was delayed a fair bit as the trailer was on Monsoon. |

I think some of the DVDs I might get eventually but not when they’re £10 or so, maybe if they drop down to £5 or so. I did buy The Watermelon Woman day one and I think when I bought Simply’s DVD of Threads for £12 or so which was made for TV anyway, but I feel happier getting DVD only from the 2000s and earlier than for something from the 2010s that was digitally shot in HD.

The German Blu-ray seems to have English subtitles, but you probably have to allow for Constantin Film's annoying DTS-HD HR tracks instead of full lossless audio:

In some respects due to its low key drama. It took a while for queer cinema to take on some lighter subject matter after all those 80s drama and this one is set in the 80s so it shares a grim underlining vibe.
