From the above list, Outland, and not only for Connery, who's terrific, but also for Boyle.
The Wind and the Lion and The Man Who Would Be King are two more must watch from Connery's lesser known films, but In the Name of the Rose is most likely my favorite of his non-Bond performances. Robin and Marion is a personal favorite, screened back in '76 at Radio City Music Hall in NYC on a class trip. History, or so they said. |

Just thought I'd throw out a few more Connery films that I've enjoyed that are slightly more obscure:
Wrong Is Right, A Good Man In Africa, A Fine Madness. Five Days One Summer is also a good one if you're interested in period drama-romances. The worst Connery film I've seen was The Next Man, which can also be found in some public domain releases as The Arab Conspiracy. Truly dreadful. I also found The Red Tent to be a total bore. |

From that list, I've got to go with Outland.
A solid film imo. My favourite non-Bond Connery film though, is Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Henry F**cking Jones Sr.! ![]() ![]() Last edited by The Fallen Deity; 11-03-2020 at 12:29 AM. |

I'll wait for it, but I (for one) would be far more-likely to if you could get CZJ to do a 20th anniversary dance with the poll.
