From the above list, Outland, and not only for Connery, who's terrific, but also for Boyle.

The Wind and the Lion and The Man Who Would Be King are two more must watch from Connery's lesser known films, but In the Name of the Rose is most likely my favorite of his non-Bond performances.

Robin and Marion is a personal favorite, screened back in '76 at Radio City Music Hall in NYC on a class trip.

History, or so they said.

I just watched Outland last night for the first time. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

If that's the case, you'd think that you would be able to get the titles correct then.

Ha ha ha. True. Then again, close enough for you to figure out, so that’s something.

Just thought I'd throw out a few more Connery films that I've enjoyed that are slightly more obscure:

Wrong Is Right, A Good Man In Africa, A Fine Madness.

Five Days One Summer is also a good one if you're interested in period drama-romances.

The worst Connery film I've seen was The Next Man, which can also be found in some public domain releases as The Arab Conspiracy. Truly dreadful. I also found The Red Tent to be a total bore.

From that list, I've got to go with Outland.

A solid film imo.

My favourite non-Bond Connery film though, is Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade.

Henry F**cking Jones Sr.!

Poll ends today. Based on the comments, I think I'll make another Poll with some of the other movies suggested.

Wait for it later today.

I'll wait for it, but I (for one) would be far more-likely to if you could get CZJ to do a 20th anniversary dance with the poll.

More major Connery acting chops and another brutal, but riveting Lumet film. IMO, Harry Andrews practically steals the film from him as the sadistic camp commandant.

I'll always rate The hill" connerys best effort but gotta give a nod to Ian hendry who is the stand out of this great flick.
