Reducing your subscription might be a good idea, but bashing won't improve things--
Anyone over a 4-out subscription isn't high on their Preferred Customer throttle-or-not-throttle list, and coincidentally, guess who usually does the loudest complaining about not getting their oatmeal.

(Me, I put all the LW/VLW Blu titles at the top of the list, and wait for the Roulette wheel to spin...They may not show up overnight, but, as noted by yesterday's arrival, they do show up--
Although Santa Netflix says, you'd better be good: You shouldn't be greedy or selfish, and you'd better not pout and you'd better not cry...)

I'm about ready to quit Netflix after being a suscriber for four years. Blu-ray's are just nigh on impossible to get it seems.

Is Blockbuster's service any better?

Default What do you mean by "screw"?

Shipping from remote centers is the exact opposite from "screw". It means people get movies they might not otherwise, perhaps a day later at worst.

I also wanted to add, that I've got a number of Blu-Ray discs from Netflix already without issue.

I've been with Netflix since before it went national, I split a 5-out with one other sub-list subscriber (call it a 4-out, for me), rent at a normal/average pace (one cycle every week, and maybe an extra on Saturday if I get the Monday disk back)...
Got one Long Wait Blu-title last night, although the queue skipped over two others VLW's to get there, out of a possible seven. And couldn't be happier.
(Except that the title was "Underdog", but that's a different issue.)

Consider that if you were so DESPERATE to see them on a certain date, you wouldn't be using a service that ships overnight, now, would you?

One member in Helotes, Tx (a suburb of San Antonio) got the 1,000,000 rental video and he got a free Netflix subscription for life.

Oh, and I'm starting to get some new Blu-rays on my mailings while my Very Long Waits have gone down to Short Wait and Available status.

That's because I just reduced my subscription and took all of the BD's out of my queue, and subsequently spent about $400 on BD's that I have not been able to see as a subscriber. More better for you that way, I guess. I will enjoy my clean disks, for sure.

LOL I would believe this if we were in the same city, with the same regional dist center delivering movies for us, but we're so far apart. I'm in South Central TX, in San Antonio, so that won't work here.

But hey, enjoying Ice Fishing?

I've noticed that netflix is skimping on certain titles even being offered in BluRay format, only offering rush hour 3 in dvd?

Cool, I think this is the same for other movies that originally didn't show up on Blu in December.

My last BLU, Hills Have Eyes 2 was shipped from a NON local hub. What sucks is it takes 3 days to arrive, and 3 days to receive (I sent 3 days ago and still havent heard they got it).

If overall this brings down the backlog great, but recently Netflix has been a real challenge with BLU.

Are you a new customer? I am kinda curious if behind all the math that goes into who gets their top pics first, if new customers get preference over old ones. I have been NetFlix'ing for a while, so I am curious if I have to close my account and open a new one in my brother's name to start getting new release BDs again.

I had a system down that worked with DVDs, but it only worked with BDs for a month or something like that. I have received a new release BD for a few months now. I'm about to cancel, but I think NetFlix knows there really aren't any alternatives to the service they provide.

I been with netflix since August 2006 with no serious problems. Other than couple of times 1 out of the 4 movies I rent comes from a different place and takes an extra day or 2 arrive. But that rarely happens. But this are just SD DVDs. But since I started renting BD, I had not trouble getting them at all.

But one of the things just started happening, was that for some reason my top 4 movies on my list one will get skipped even tho it says available now.
