Agreed with all of that.

Looking forward to Zack Snyder's King Arthur. Bring it.

Excalibur is one of his favorite movies, along with Blue Velvet, Road Warrior, A Clockwork Orange, and The Searchers, so I'm sure there's a ton of passion for the material and I mean...a medieval Snyder film? Dat gon' be purdy.

If 300 is anything to go by it has a lot of potential as well, after all, that is a period piece as well, not to mention it is an amazing film.

That pseudo medieval fantasy segment in Sucker Punch was awesome.

I loved the Guy Ritchie movie though and am gutted it flopped.

I mean, even if one hates Snyder's films, what does it matter if he makes a King Arthur film? Like, who does that hurt? There's already been a billion takes on the legend, is having one from Snyder really going to be a problem in any way?

I'd rather see him do a remake of The Fountainhead.

Bay can't string together two shots into anything resembling coherency. Please, do not disparage Snyder in that way. That's just too much.

I would be intrigued too. Though that will necessarily be a straight drama I think - essentially more reliant on script and acting - and those are not his strong suits.

I am skeptical he really knows how to direct actors.

And I also don't think he generally has a good sense of pacing.

And straight dramas rely very heavily on those two aspects to be successful.

I would actually like him to make another 300 film, the second one severely lacked the Snyder touch, even if that film's director tried his best to imitate him.

Interesting that Frank Miller's latest work is illustrating Cursed,a young adult novel taking on the Arthurs legend focusing on Nimue.
I haven't seen the Netflix show that's based on the novel, but the trailer for it had the exact slow-mo style that Snyder uses.

I'd be fine if he made a shot-for shot remake of Excalibur like the 90's remake of Psycho.

Wonder who he will cast? Who will score?

I hope he goes traditional and not try to modernize it.

Maybe this will prompt a release of Excalibur on 4K UHD?

Excalibur is one of the greatest films of all time, there's no reason for a remake, moreso a shot for shot one.
In fact that Psycho remake for me,still remains one of the most perplexing decisions in the history of Hollywood.

Legend of the Guardians was bizzare.
It looked and sounded like a sequel to the bloodthirsty, hard R 300,with the difference that it was a children's movie with talking owls

I'd rather that than what I think he will make, an Excalibur movie that looks like 300. Not hating on 300, it's just not the style I think of when I think King Arthur.

Well,Excalibur is a heavily stylized anti-realistic film, same with the the Arthur movie Guy Ritchie did, that one also used something similar to Snyder's speed ramping technique in the action scenes.

Still something tells me that Snyder's next film will be smaller scale, like The last photograph, which he's developing for ages.
