First run only - the parallel release of MORTUARY has apparently already run through its initial allotment of slipcovers, so whatever's in the wild is all that's left.

I'm so glad I didn't get sucked into buying this release. I own the previous blu-ray and it looks great. Those screenshots for the new release look awful in comparison - both versions.

What possible reason would there be to use those poor-quality masters when a better one exists?

I picked this up from Amazon on impulse; I have the limited edition Scorpion Blu-ray, but this is one of my favorite slashers so I don't mind owning a couple of copies (I previously had the old DVD release, but got rid of it when I got the Scorpion Blu). The dual versions of the film featuring the director's "original vision" also prompted me to get my hands on this, even if both cuts are a slight downgrade in PQ.

My copy arrived today, and it had slipcover, which was cool. The poster inside is nice too, but I mainly like the fact that its reverse artwork is the original poster—as much as I love the Scorpion limited edition artwork (that image of all the sorority sisters standing in front of the pool is fantastic), I'm still a sucker for the original poster. I know the original Scorpion 2-disc Blu-ray had the original art as well.

I just wanted to put this out there for those who wanted the limited slip that I received the copy I ordered from Target’s Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale last week and it came with the slip.

MVD missed opportunity here using the bad 2014 scorpions releasing transfer which must also be the 88 films uk transfer . 2018 hard to find and overpriced now . Any chance to wait on this maybe it gets a 4K ?

MVD's has the 2018 scan. It's the version listed in the extras. Not sure why they put it in the extras and not as the main feature.

Yeah, saw that. Was just letting the poster I replied to know that the MVD has the 2018 scan because they seemed to not know this.

Unfortunately , The 2018 Scorpion disc is still the one to get for the better PQ , I'll give it a awhile , IDK something tells me a 4k is going to come kinda like Return of the Swamp thing .

Really enjoyed watching this recently. The ending of the film is especially effective. I'd certainly upgrade from my 88 Films Blu-ray if a 4K was released.

It's been awhile since I've watched them, but I own the MVD Rewind disc and the Ronin Flix/Scorpion limited edition Blu-ray, and I remember the Ronin/Scorpion LE having noticeably better picture quality.

There may be some helpful information here. They gave Scorpion the best picture.

The newer "remastered" MVD Rewind disc is far inferior to the much better exclusive, remastered Scorpion edition from 2018.

Agreed! I keep hoping this will be the next 4K announcement for MVD Rewind (or anywhere else, for that matter!).
