Don't see it happening but there are a ton of Marvel properties that I think would be right up Nolan's alley.
Marvel encompasses Sci-Fi, Drama, Horror, period pieces, Noir, Gothic. Come to the dark side, Chris. |

It depends on how "connected" the next phase is. If every movie needs to head towards the "big event", then yeah it's a bad fit. If Eternals or Shang Chi etc are just strong, independent movies who don't need no Avengers build...then sure..**** it.

I don't even know why Eternals has to be connected to The Avengers. Kinda like X-Men. The X-Men usually like to stay away from Avengers activities in the comics. Even Nick Fury once said he stays away from mutant politics. Some Marvel characters just belong in their own circles.

I think this next phase is going to have 2 groups: solo movies (like phase 1, there might be ramifications later on) and interconnected (like the team up movies [more like Ragnarok and the Spider-Man Homecoming]). |

We'll see. It wasn't too long ago that Kevin Feige got the rights tot the Fox characters back, so I'm thinking he is still trying to figure it out. |

Everyone talking about format but the fact that Feige is letting Deadpool stay R-rated points to a little flexibility to the in house style. Feige might just let Nolan do his thing on film as Iron Man was shot on 35mm I think, they've DMR'd to hell to look like the rest of the films but you never know.
