didn't Arrow produce new extras for the US release of Deep Red that never actually was put out there? I would be surprised if this had Calum's extras from the previous releases

For Inferno and Tenebre Arrow don't have 4k scans though. Also I've read that Inferno might be an issue since they'd have to license from Disney. Not sure why that would be a problem but some people seem to think so.

Also both of those titles might still be locked up in the US, unless UHD rights are separate from blu ray. I guess worst case scenario they could do UK releases only for the time being.

I think Phenomena is almost guaranteed to get an Arrow UHD though (hopefully Arte Originale too).

I thought Deep Red and Phenomena were guaranteed to get UHD releases from Arrow, the ones that I'm really hoping for but are less likely to receive the same treatment are Tenebae and Inferno. I would suspect Tenebrae is a possibility and perhaps Inferno but I have a feeling Blue Underground would beat Arrow to the latter.

I'd be happy to get an old fashioned BD of Trauma. That movie is a lot better than it's reputation.

That would be a good title for BU to license in my opinion.

Whether BU gets Inferno for UHD or not, I'd still like Arrow to release it in the UK too. I love these recent Arte Originale releases.

Having been shot in anamorphic 35mm, a remastered TRAUMA could look gorgeous.

Glad to see some Trauma love! The film has a definite dark soul which imo is what make's the best Argento films so astounding. It also has the most geniune and engaging romance storyline in any of his films.
Re Deep Red: Nicolodi's character becomes 100 times more enjoyable to me knowing the behind the scenes history. Her and Argento's relationship was at its most positive peak and the creative synergy between them is felt from behind the camera. For the oppositie feelings just look at Phenomena and Opera. You can feel their hate towards each other lol . She also based all her mannerisims on him. The comedic scenes between her and Hemmings have so much heart and I really enjoy them and what they bring to the film.
Still feel sad thinking about how Nicolodi is no longer with us!

It's not great, but I wouldn't mind a proper release of Mother of Tears.

I have the German mediabook which is pretty nice. Unfortunately, MOT was shot on film but finished as a 2K DI which has DNR and sharpening baked in, so unless they did a new negative scan, those issues will always be present.

DEEP RED is the most successful and popular Argento movie here in Italy. Its commercial and critic popularity is huge and definitely greater than SUSPIRIA's or any other ARGENTO movie's.

Generally speaking, for us Italians, DEEP RED is also the most popular thriller/giallo movie ever been.

To me, DEEP RED is simply the greatest and most frightening thriller movie in worldwide history, and a cosmic masterpiece. You cannot beat it.

The way you feel about Deep Red is how I feel about Tenebrae. I do also love Deep Red though.

I know I always go on about how Inferno is my favourite Argento film, but oh my Bog, just look at it:

Inferno is the gift that keeps on giving. Something evil, beautiful and otherwordly lives in that movie. Alot of people mistake that movie for being about witches and its not. Also that it only operates on dream logic. There's a pretty clear story there. You just have to decipher the mystery.

INFERNO is my favorite Argento film, too. It's hypnotic, even intoxicating. It washes over you and takes you away into a new world.

It's worth it if only for one particular kill scene...it's very penetrating.
