Seems like the US release will be a cheap release. No special features, BD-25 and DTS-HD MA 5.1. Even the 7.1 audio for theaters as been dropped. Which does Warner Bros often and offer 5.1.

It’s an MGM and Miramax movie so maybe so. However, it’s distributed by WB for physical so it’s possible it’ll be Movies Anywhere. If it doesn’t have MA, it’ll likely redeem in 4K in iTunes.

Just got a screener copy this morning. It is indeed limited to DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio and has no extras at all, but is at least a BD-50. (I'd be surprised if it used more than half of that disc space, though.)

One of the best films of the year.

Yet perhaps the worst disc release of the year.

Blame MGM.

Even the long awaited Bill and Ted Face The Music got saddled with very little substantial extras. The meatier ComicCon@Home panel was directly lifted from YouTube.

Well, there went any inclination to make this a day one purchase. I'll wait for Black Friday.

How is it worst disc release of the year? Who cares anymore about special features they don’t make them like they use to with having all the behind the scenes documentaries and stuff.

I haven't seen it, but it sounds very good, & I'm a Stath fan, so I'll definitely be buying the Blu-ray.

Gee, I’m thinking the comment of mine you quoted proves your statement false.

It’s alright. Bit too serious, the acting is not cohesive and it needed a second watch to appreciate more.

I purchased a copy of this today and exactly 4/5 of the BD50 is being used. Pretty impressive. Includes a Dolby Digital 5.1 (DVS) track as well for our Blu-ray.com friends that are visually-impaired.

For anyone on the fence/considering a blind buy, this was Guy Ritchie's best film since Snatch.* Of course, if you're familiar with his filmography since Snatch., you'll know that isn't saying much.

A decent action/thriller with some of the most cringe-worthy, one-dimensional, god-awful dialogue I've ever heard. That being said, Statham's great in it and it has good action. I'd grab it when it goes below $10.

EDIT: Of course I forgot to double check his filmography before posting. The Man From U.N.C.L.E. was his best since Snatch.... The Gentleman wasn't bad, either. This one is a distant 3rd... yet still miles ahead of his other big-budget studio junk.

ummm no The Gentlemen was great. So Ritchie just hit two home runs with The Gentlemen and Wrath Of Man. The Man From UNCLE, now that wasn't bad but not his best since Snatch. The Sherlock Holmes movies were also very good as was Rock N Rolla but Ritchie's last two films were tremendous.

Takes a long time to get to said action though; it’s more about the twisty narrative until the third act when the action kicks in.
