I see this has dropped in price to $23.99 but Amazon still doesn't allow it to be shipped to the UK yet when i change my location to Ireland for example it has the option to pre order

When the listing first popped up i saw that it allowed pre order to the UK but i didn't bother at the time as i figured when it got nearer to the release date i would but i'm regretting that now because for some reason there's a restriction in place. Good thing i already placed my Smallville pre order

Not at this time. That's down to distributor rights, i'm guessing a streaming service or broadcast channel takes precedent over a DVD or Blu-ray release so unless it gets picked up a physical release is unlikely.
Edit: BBC One have picked the show up in the UK. It's set to air from December 4th at 5:40 pm. This means a physical release is likely once they finish airing all episodes Last edited by Kasim2409; 11-15-2021 at 06:55 PM. |

So I was watching episode 11 tonight ("A Brief Reminiscence In-Between Cataclysmic Events"), and noticed a peculiarity with the Blu-ray's framing. In the aired version of the episode, the 4:3 TV interview scene pops out of the top and bottom matting that the show is normally framed with, displaying as what used to be called a "full frame" image. On the Blu-ray, the top and bottom matting remains in place, resulting in a windowboxed image with black bars on all sides, and cutting off the top and bottom of the original interview frame.
I would be more upset about this, except for a couple of things. One, all the onscreen graphics remain within the cropped frame, almost as if they were designed for this framing to be an option. Two, I feel like this framing may actually look better -- with the camera tighter on Superman's and Lois's faces, it feels more like an old-school TV interview to me. Still, technically it's not OAR compared to the aired version. Don't know if it was a mistake in the mastering or a conscious decision, but thought it was worth noting. |

So I watched the Pilot the other day and I'm confused. It looks like this show has totally split from Supergirl and now doesn't exist in the same universe? The suit looks different, Superman is more bulkier in the suit than he was on Supergirl, Red heat vision as opposed to white on Supergirl, two suddenly teenage sons instead of one infant, no mention that Kara even exists. All in all I liked it but it sure was confusing since the showrunners used that same two leads. At first I thought Crisis changed everything but Superman & Lois would still know about Pre-Crisis and yet never mentioned anything so that appears to not be the case.

They're aware but have barely taken any Arrowverse stuff into consideration. Maybe it's because of COVID, but they act like the show's on it's own except for the random Diggle appearance when they were like oh yeah, we're in the same universe as these other shows. Lois' dad and the Kent Farm looking different could be another Earth-Prime change, but even the Fortress of Solitude is different and it shouldn't be different than the one on Supergirl.

Only the first two episodes so far, it took me a while as I had to get caught up on all the other Arrowverse shows up until this one as I was a few years behind.

Considering how bad the Arrowverse shows have become, this show separating itself as much as possible was nothing but a good thing. Gave it a nice tight season with no interruptions from major crossovers and stuff. Was allowed to set itself up and let us get to know new characters and get to know ones that have been around for years a bit better.
Hope this continues into season 2. |

I'm five episodes in now and I really like this show. My Arrowverse order would go like this
1. Arrow - The show that started it all is still my favorite especially season 1 2. Superman & Lois 3. The Flash 4. Legends Of Tomorrow - Damien Darhk is one of my fav characters because of this show 5. Supergirl - Season 1 was decent but it went downhill fast from there(lots of fast-forwarding) *** I haven't seen Black lightning yet and Batwoman doesn't interest me as I'm not the target audience also out of curiosity how old is this Superman? Typically he is portrayed as being mid 30's but this Superman seems to be between 38-41 given the past references and two 15 year olds |

Does anyone know where I can get a list of the broadcast episode runtimes? I've searched everywhere I can think of.
