The RE sold out rather fast so I'm curious if this will as well. I actually like the UW films and have been hoping they do another to finish it off since they didn't do it with the last one but Kate isn't getting any younger sadly...

It seems Blood Wars is the only one benefitting from the 4k resolution, according to IMDB specs.

Anyway, I hope this will get a worldwide release. Otherwise I will be importing

If these transfers are native then I'll make a repurchase of the first film and grab the second - as for the others... I felt like the continuity fell apart once Scott Speedman left the films.

The same rule applies to The Mummy Trilogy, no Rachel Weisz, no buy, I'll only own the first two.

Rise of the Lycan's is fun, but without Kate, again, no buy.

Has Speedman ever mentioned why he didn't come back after the second film?

I haven't really looked into that to be honest.

I doubt he was written out of the story. It must have been his choice, no?

I honestly think he was written out of the story, possibly out of narrative choice. Equally possible it was a spite thing, as the director (Len Wiseman) ended up marrying Beckinsale. Supposedly he wanted to focus on Selena and her daughter instead of a romance... maybe it was as simple as that, not wanting to see your wife lock lips with another dude while you film it...

Nah, Wiseman hasn't directed anything since the second one, which had a really grindy sex scene and was made after they were married. Kate Beckinsale also has a daughter - who appears as the young version of Selene in the second film - with her ex-husband Michael Sheen who also happens to still be good buddies with Wiseman so I doubt he's a ragey jealous type. It's probably more like Speedman wasn't keen on continuing playing the same role so they just wrote him out.
