I dunno, I'm getting a They Live vibe of that cover and love it.
Hopefully it's a new restoration or else there isn't much point to buying it. |

I don’t even care about the cover art at this point. There’s some ugly af covers out there that I’d put up with just to get a great transfer or even great features in some cases. As long as this has a good disc, I’m in. Even if the SB looks like a unicorn had diarrhea.

I hope it's a new transfer, and includes all cuts. All I want is just a proper 4K release that finally allows me to sell my coveted Japanese T2 Premium Edition steelbook. Is that too much to ask?

The art is gorgeous but I'm not sure it fits the film. Would be better for the first movie, except that you can see John in the eye reflection so it's obviously for T2. I know the T-800 is iconic but it's strange how much they promote T2 with the imagery, you'd think more covers would feature Arnold or the T-1000.
Anyways, I've bought so many copies of T2 (the studio canal remaster I've bought 3 times alone) I'd only consider buying a new copy if it has an improved transfer. |

The front cover alone reminds me of the art for the recent release of the soundtrack for the first movie on Vinyl.
If it actually has a new UHD then yeah, I’ll be fine ordering it and plopping it into my FilmArena SteelBook. |

From a dildo like James Cameron, yes. Just like asking for True Lies and The Abyss has been too much to ask. -_-

Any copy that has at the very least an improved 1080 transfer and preferably an improved 4K transfer will be the one that I buy. I fortunately only have that one Blu-ray from 2015, which is basically a placeholder for the good Blu-ray if it ever comes. I’ll eventually start taking one for the team if I ever get hired, but for now I can’t afford to build a Terminator 2 coaster collection. The Terminator movies are definitely among the most shamelessly repackaged movies of all time.

Since his next preferred film on 4K is Avatar, here’s IMDB:
[Show spoiler] So the film he wants most on 4K is just going to be a 2K upscale. And it’s not even shot on film. After bringing Avatar 2+ to the screen and then bringing Avatar 1 to 4K, then he plans on finally working on True Lies and The Abyss, which depending on which of JC’s statements you rely on or when you read them put the two films anywhere between still in their cans or about to be announced. Then I guess he works on T2, if he finally gets off his high horse and stops insisting this release is great of course. |

Huh? He’s been working on Avatar 2-5, not spending all this time trying to get the first movie on UHD. Last I heard, all of the mocap for all four movies was completed and they’ve been working on the live action stuff for some months.
It made more money than Endgame and after their theme park investments, surely Disney can/will have a UHD of the first Avatar ready at the drop of a hat or sometime before the sequels hit theaters. And still, with the way chroma compression works that 1080p master will still have more detail in a 4K container and the color will be much more refined. |
