This + while the design isn't "bad," it looks as if they put very little effort.

Don't care for the B&W, should be something that ~pops~ and with the full cast.

They made it even worse by featuring the cheap artwork for the movies' DVD bundle.

I've lost count of how many versions of this show I already own, I think I also have the VHS, but certainly 3-4 complete series versions on DVD and I'm thrilled we are getting the BD of this.
I had no idea there is a sequel show planned, but yes it's not nice that only SJP is shown on the front, and then only inside?

Great to see older series from the HBO catalogue getting a release. Really hope we get Six Feet Under.

That was my hot take, too - the packaging makes it look like she is the only star of the show.

I'm pretty sure they did it this way so they didn't have to feature Kim Catrall, due to all...the nastiness going on between her and the show. So they just went all-in with SJP. That way they can cross-promote it with the new series.

If I were the other girls, I'd be ticked.

In any case, glad this is coming out for those that want it physically. I'm a fan of the show, and have all the DVDs - but to be honest, I haven't felt much need to revisit it, and if I do, it's on HBO Max.

It's worth noting that SJP is an executive producer on the show and [allegedly] had a lot of say in how the final seasons + movies went down. Kim Cattrall couldn't stand her (and has basically said that not working with SJP again is worth missing out on the money), so I'm not surprised in the slightest that the set only utilizes Carrie Bradshaw... which isn't even a new occurrence. The last couple complete series re-releases and individual season releases only had SJP on them.

I don't think anyone could express more hatred and disdain than Kim Cattrall for SJP, but even so she did it in a classy way. I can't imagine what went on, but it's sad that this results in none of the other girls to feature on the packaging.
I haven't revisited the series since I watched the show on the pink book version that came in a rigid pvc case came out, and this is a perfect excuse to.
But the price, yikes! Hope it comes down.

Does anybody know if this will include Spanish dub/subtitles?

That's a shame. I wasn't aware - I have all the original DVDs, purchased as they came out, and they always had the whole cast, not to mention the bright colors. So I never had to seek out any other sets. That's what I am used to - and frankly, I think it sells the show better - it's supposed to be a fun comedy about the friendships of these ladies.

Looking at this box, I wouldn't get that feeling. Though I do like the cityscape on the spine. That looks very cool.

Oof, the packaging for those DVDs brings back memories. Some of the worst home video packaging ever created… every single one of them broke because the plastic was too rigid and would just snap apart after several openings & closings. When I go to my local Bull Moose, I see plenty of pre-owned copies of those DVDs on the shelves, taped together or just missing the back or front covers.

Memories of scotch taping the broken seams to make them look “good” again.

I'd love Desperate housewives on blu ray. unfortunatly thats Disney and they dont release many old shows on blu ray. Though since warner seem to be releasing a lot of old shows on blu ray now with SATC, SmallVille and superman hopefully they continue the trend and release Gilmore Girls, the remaster came out 5 years ago and still no blu ray release.

Haha! I finally broke down and bought the complete series on DVD of DH a few weeks ago, it's been fun to rewatch and I figured that Disney would never get around to releasing it on blu...

Disney is stupid and careless to not release Desperate Housewives and Alias on Blu-ray. Just stupid and careless. Any other label would have had those out by now.

This is good news, day 1 purchase and love that they are including the 2 SATC movies. Long overdue for a BD release. I have the DVD book set I'll still hang on to it though after I buy the BD set.

It's unlikely those titles would generate enough sales to meet Disney's expectations, especially since they're barely just releasing anything at all apart from new releases.

That reminds me that Alias came out 20 years ago this month. Time flies.

Gilmore Girls on blu ray would be a dream come true, lol.

It’s too bad that Disney is not really into releasing their shows on blu-ray. Would also love to see DH of Greys Anatomy.

Nice, and the reframing looks like it was actually done with care.
