While I do like The Lost Boys, IMO they are very dated, a lot like the 90's It TV movie. So a remake, similarly to how It and It Chapter Two was done to re-introduce me to the story in a fresh way could work nicely, with some changes here and there from the previous version to make it even better.

It may well turn out similarly to how 2019's Pet Sematary was done; an adaptation that was done for the hell of it and didn't make many changes story wise to the first adaptation, essentially mirroring the first adaptation resulting in a lesser adaptation.

These kind of things can be hit or miss. So far there's nothing I'm not ok with in terms of the cast and all.

Some movies will never be "outdated" and The Lost Boys is one of them. It had a great memorial cast, and a original soundtrack by Thomas Newman. Even the dog: Nook cannot be replaced because it was a real dog that was trained by a professional animal trainer, and it's not CGI. Every time I hear the song: Cry Little Sister, I think of The Lost Boys, and that's what soundtracks are suppose to do.

It’s not great but The Lost Boys 3 (whatever it’s called) is totally watchable. I wish there would have been a sequel that focused on the Frog Brothers before Feldman went off the deep end.

What sucks is the next story wouldn’t have been about vampires for once it was going to be about werewolfs so them doing a reboot a more boring thing to do at least the next story was going to do something new. going back to vampires especially after twilight helped ruin them is to me a step backwards.

And Im sure they'll "sap it up" with the Vamps and they'll have like sensitivities and stuff as to not offend any real vampires. They wont be violent bloodsuckers, they'll be misunderstood. Or something.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that but I know what you saying. That I’m being ridiculous but either way a remake shouldn’t be made no matter what. if anything vampire related needs a remake made to be really close to the novel without butchering it. that would be the Dracula novel.

3 was definitely better than 2 but these sequels came way too late. Feldman hasn't been good, or even okay for decades. Even Crystal Lake Memories could have been a lot better without his weak narration.

ZOMG I hope they cast Leslie Jones and Kevin Hart as the Frog Brothers. Plus Amy Schumer as Grampa, Lizzo as Star, The Rock as David, Queen Latifah as Lucy, Constance Wu as Max, and the soundtrack by Carli B, Jay Z and Adele. Our generation NEEDS this!!
