For those of you that went to anime conventions back in the late 90's/early 2000's anyone remember that music video someone did for Project A-Ko that used The Offspring's "Come Out and Play"?

Anyone have the Project A-Ko art book?

Back in the fall of '94, as a class project for senior-year AP U.S. Government, two friends and I were assigned to create a video demonstrating some mechanic of how government works, and we used that Offspring song in our video on Separation of Powers/Checks and Balances.

I missed my chance to get it back in the day but the price would be much higher now and I just don't have the money to spend on stuff like that anymore. Though this is the Project A-Ko section then if someone had it, they could post the cover art and a few other pics would be nice. Plus I am curious if anyone on the site actually owns it.

From what I remember, I think we ended up doing pretty well -- the video was a big hit with the students when we finally played it, too.

Well sounds like you and your classmates had fun.

I wish there were more reaction videos on youtube for this movie. Maybe there will be more when the blu-ray comes out.

This is one of the very first licensed anime that was released for North America by US Manga Corps, and one of my favorites. I noticed, right off the back, that it was a parody of Superman. Ako's parents are pseudo Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

Does anyone know what exactly the special features are and if it's 1 or 2 discs? Justin said this release was going to be loaded and I see listings for both 1.33 and 1.78 ratios. I don't think haven't announced the full list of features as RightStuff's listing doesn't say very much.

The more I see it, the more I dislike the cover art. Guess I'll put the disc in the DVD release.

In an era of awful cover art, I find this really funny. The characters are essentially spot-on and stylistically in-character too. It's fantastic.
