How long does CC take to put out their Wes Anderson films usually?
We can only look at the titles that were released theatrically since Criterion started doing Blu-rays.

So:

Fantastic Mr Fox (2009) - Criterion in 2014
Moonrise Kingdom (2012) - Criterion in 2015
Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) - Criterion in 2020
Isle of Dogs (2018) - Criterion in ????

The earliest "Isle of Dogs" will get released could probably be 2022 and the earlier for "The French Dispatch" will probably be 2025.

God I sure hope we get that one in the new year.
And I heard there's a contractual agreement that Anderson films need to wait some years before hitting Criterion. But I hope he can get French Dispatch sooner to the label.

But looking at his output as of late, I won't hold my breath. He's got a new film already shot and editing and there's talk of another prepping this month.

I watched the first two of three segments last night and this is an interesting one. Might be my least favorite Anderson film so far, but I'll probably have to watch it again at some point. Great cast, but barely used which is something that's become more common in his films. Getting a great actor for a brief cameo has been something I've never really enjoyed.

Unfortunately, it redeems HD only. I picked it up during one of Target's B2G1 sales, so I only paid $13.46, which is fair with no slip and no special features.

The structure of the film has been made into an effigy of a Newspaper where the stories are like articles in the daily paper. We get some news, art, food, war, gossip, history and the like, even an interview. We also get the funny papers by way of animation as well as directing scenes in the form of strips. It's actually a rather well thought out adaption of story telling. I'll have to give it another watch soon as I was quite tired when I viewed it earlier...I would have to say Benicio was the shining Star of this film, his performance is beautiful.

MA on my phone. I don’t think it should make a difference but I scanned the code instead of manually inputting it.

Redeemed in MA, but the screenshot is the Amazon Video UI? We know FD is available to buy in 4K, but if you redeem in MA, is it 4K in MA or just Amazon Video?

I redeemed though MA and it gave me HD, and it's HD in all the retailers including Amazon. iTunes has a 4K version, but not HDR, so it's sort of pointless anyway.

Anyone else get a copy with messed up cover art? My copy looks like they took too much off the top (on the front cover "A Film By Wes Anderson" is every so slightly cut off across the "A Film By" portion, and the blu ray logo on the spine is missing about 10% of the B in "Blu-ray Disc"). Not a big deal at all, not like it has an impact on the disc itself, still just a strange thing to see!

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. It's definitely one I'll need to re-watch to fully digest. I'm just really disappointed there are no special features -- if any film deserved them, this is one of them.
