No, but many movies are conceived with sequels and a franchise already in mind if the box office is there.

These movies fit into that category and I personally would have liked to see them have a full franchise:

Power Rangers (2017)

Alita: Battle Angel

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

I'd love another 300 movie after the first 2. Rise of an Empire did pretty good at the BO.

Also another Woman in Black movie, i thought the first 2 were excellent.
The original Woman in Black is a classic in my book for slow building horror, but I did enjoy the Hammer remake of Woman in Black as its own film. It was effective. Part 2 was an interesting extension. That evil woman never dies and continues to spread her evil to families.
Where do you think they could take a 3rd film?

300 is something in terms of style and action, and part 2 was interesting also.*Where could you imagine a 3rd film's story might go?

-------------

Tron 3, I'd like to see a new film, where they realize porting a whole human body into a computer chip, is not a smart move, so instead, they insert the mind of the person into the computer, but wisely have a fail-safe so they can't be trapped there, until something goes wrong and the person is in a coma, with their mind trapped in the world of Tron. It's up to the guy inside the computer realm, to find his way out if possible.
Sort of like the Matrix where Neo gets stuck in limbo, but Tron.
They can continue after Tron Legacy, but I don't think the story of having computer people form out of the computer into the real world to take it over. That's even more silly than a human going into a computer, as much as I like Tron. The computer realm is where it's strength is.

I'm still sad that the 2003 Hulk and Daredevil movies didn't get sequels. I know there was Elektra but I wanted a proper sequel.

More The Mummy movies with Brendan Fraser. Also Rachel Weisz needs to come back.

Make a new Darkman movie, but with the style of the first film rather than the Arnold Vosloo sequels which were interesting, but not a classic like Darkman 1 with Liam Neeson from Sam Raimi.
Heck, at this point, bring back Liam Neeson, who is way more open to action films.

Heh, Snake Eyes was an ok action movie that had no business being related to the character or G.I. Joe.

Does franchise hopefuls count? I wanna see Valerian and Mortal Engines to continue.

Oh and definitely a Power Rangers sequel from the 2017 movie.

Fantasia - love the first 2 films and they're so unique. Unlikely to happen

Sicario - 2nd film was a step down from the first but would still like to see a 3rd and final film

Tron - love the first 2, and so many interesting ideas to explore from the concept

Hellboy - would love to see Del Toro about to finish his trilogy. We can treat the reboot like Ghostbusters 2016 and pretend it doesn't exist.

National Treasure - liked both films, and would be excited for a third

Conan - seeing older Arnold as King Conan would be fun

The Muppets - not sure what the best approach would be for a new film, but I'd still welcome it

The Snyderverse for at least two more movies:
1) Finish the Darkseid story arc
2) Batman vs. Deathstroke

The MonsterVerse

A Star Trek TOS movie reboot

Forget the Snyderverse. Give me a continuation of Batman/Batman Returns. Keaton as Old man Bruce mentoring a new Batman.

DORMANT, you say?

CONAN (Arnold Schwarzenegger)
DREDD (Karl Urban)
Herbie: The Love Bug (1960s VW Beetle/Bug)
THE MUMMY (Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz)
PREDATOR (Ignore the fourth one. I know I certainly did!)
Re-Animator 4 (Obviously Jeffrey Combs.)
RIDDICK 4 and RIDDICK PC/whichever game 4
SHANGHAI DAWN
TRANSFORMERS: GENERATION 1 (Bumblebee)
TRON 3
ZORRO 3 (Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.)

I'd like to see a continuation (even based on the comic books possibly) of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead 78, where Peter grudgingly hops onto the helicopter with Fran and we see where they go with the limited fuel left in their helicopter, set in that same era.
Where would they go?

I'd like to see a Gremlins continuation with Gizmo, but based on the first film, not the way over the top sequel. Where would Gizmo end up, with a new owner possibly, and then see Gizmo get water on him and start the whole nightmare all over again, with the authorities wanting to capture and study Gizmo.

And for the sequel to E.T.,
[Show spoiler]Extra Terrestrial
[Show spoiler] returns to earth, but this time as a prisoner with his captors wanting to destroy mankind. E.T. has to stop them or else, while also finding the Reese's Pieces factory to lure them back to their planet and save the earth. That doesn't count as it's only 1 film, but it does have a theme park ride that expands with showing ET's planet.

Since they're doing all this Multi-verse stuff, have Wesley Snipes' old Blade return far into the future, and continue his story for another 3 films, separate from the Ali Blade Marvel new film. Make it in the style of the first Blade, but not Blade 3.

Batman 89 films with Michael Keaton as an old Batman, and then for the fight scenes, put a stunt man in there so he still kicks @ss, but then for the dialog scenes, Keaton in the Batsuit. Have a new trilogy of Keaton Batman films, where he's still fully Batman and the hero of the stories. No sidekick, just Batman. He will also rely more on his gadgets than before, and find new ways to keep his enemies from ever harming others again, without lethally killing them, but through disabling them in some capacity. Bruce Wayne is tired of seeing them constantly return.

The Godfather with Andy Garcia looking after the family set in the late 80s/early 90s (Godfather III was set in the late 70s, I assume based on the death of Pope John Paul I).

I'm still waiting for History of the World Part II, but I'll take another Japanese made Godzilla movie or Pacific Rim Vs. Godzilla.

I'd go for a 2D animated sequel with Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Billy Dee Williams's young likenesses. It would also bring Michael Gough back from the dead. Good animation, though. Not cheap like DC's recent animated movies.

Only counting actual franchises and not one-offs that I wish had sequel(s):

Terminator, but go back to where Salvation left off, make one more movie about the future war that ends just before the first movie, close the loop on the franchise and be done.

Alien, where Covenant left off. Yeah Prometheus and Covenant weren't great, but I'd keep watching David playing God in space if Scott is allowed to keep making them.

Riddick, if it was more Chronicles and less Riddick.

I hadn't thought of it, but I'll second the folks that suggested another Escape From ____ movie with Kurt Russel. He could still do it for sure.
