Nice! So I can expect death scenes to be uploaded to YouTube around then?

Here in Canada it’s distributed by Mk2/Mile End, who also distributed Parasite, First Cow and Portrait of a Lady on Fire over here alongside now having the Canadian rights to Cronenberg’s Crash. I don’t think Mile End has released a Blu Ray at all, I’ve only seen two DVDs from them. They left Parasite for Universal and Criterion over here, with Portrait and Crash also eventually having their Criterion’s being sold here moments after American releases.

Worth a look. Never been a fan of Foo Fighters but it's nice to see Dave Grohl enjoying himself. He's no Bruce Campbell but he doesn't stink, the dialogue is OK and the gore is plentiful. Would have been better a little shorter but still decent fun. Liked the

cameo

HD version (not a cam) was already up on MyFlixer a few days ago.

I had to do a LOT of exploring to get to the gory bits lol. I was really only disappointed by the BBQ death and maybe Jenna Ortega's at the start.

Noooo. That opening kill was the best one of the entire movie!

It's fine I guess, just too brief and they kinda show it all in the trailer, I was expecting her death scene to have more to it and be longer.

BBQ one definitely sucked tho. Stabbing looked good but they should've melted his whole face like an omelette with his eyeball in the middle haha.

We'll prob hear their intentions and what FX didn't work or got cut on the commentary.

This one hurts. He always seemed like the most genuine and fun person. I saw someone compare him to Eddie Van Halen in they seem to just be having the most fun while playing.

Schlock* like the scene with the cymbal thru his head. Very foreshadowing I must say.

Been meaning to watch this for a couple of weeks, but after Taylor's untimely death , it felt like the right time.

I had no real expectations for a horror movie starring a rock band, but you know what, it's the most fun I've had watching anything in ages. Are they the best actors in the world? Nope, but they do a better job than most of the 'professionals' here & Grohl is just a delight to watch. The music's great, the gore is completely OTT, & it's just ridiculously silly throughout. Loved the cameos & genre nods too.

My only small caveats are, as others have said, it's a little too long, & I wasn't too keen on the last five minutes.

[Show spoiler]I was kinda hoping they'd find some way of resurrecting the rest of the band, or at the very least end on some kind of high point or gag. Moody & downbeat isn't the sort of ending a movie like this should have IMHO. It just went against the tone of the rest of the film

I look forward to picking it up on blu when it's released. Hope we get a band commentary!

It looks like he was having more fun before and after playing.

It appears he had an ongoing battle with addiction.
I'm not here to excuse any kind of substance abuse.

Looks like the physical BluRay only includes a DTS-HD 5.1 track... I don't see any news of a 4K UHD that might have offered an Atmos/DTSX track, and the digital releases don't seem to even mention what audio formats are going to be available...
Just wondering if I should settle for DTS-HD lossless, or see if they do an Atmos track for the digital stream?
Also, which sounds 'better' anyway? Do people prefer LOSSLESS DTS-HD 5.1 or a compressed Dolby Digital Plus audio track that includes ATMOS encoding?

I've noticed that a lot of new releases are hitting streaming a few weeks before showing up on physical disks, but I usually skip the stream because although they say it's ATMOS audio, it's actually a COMPRESSED DD+ (5.1?) ATMOS audio track? So I end up waiting for the UHD so I can enjoy LOSSLESS (7.1) ATMOS!
However I've never really done a side by side, so not sure how much better the 'real' Atmos tracks are compared to the LOSSY DD+ 5.1 Atmos they use to reduce file sizes for streaming platforms...

And if Streaming becomes the ONLY way some movies are released, then I think these Streaming Services REALLY need to start offering a 'PREMIUM' streaming option that at LEAST provides lossless audio. And HIGH BITRATE 4K video would be nice too, but probably asking too much until 'Fibre to the Home' internet services become more ubiquitous...

I mean, do the low bitrate STREAMING 4K streams really look much better than FULL STRENGTH 1080p BluRay Disk video? It just seems sort of pointless to offer 4K if it's just going to be 'bit-starved' anyway... Although I guess they at least usually include HDR grading.
