If you're a Bob Clark fan (Black Christmas, Deathdream), you'll want to pick it up. Otherwise, you might want to rent it first. I think it's fun and well done for a low budget, small scale 70's horror movie. You should definitely wait for reviews though. VCI isn't known for their quality, and their blu-ray release has a sync issue.

It's still in my cart and allows me to go to check out but it gives the "sorry we can't find this page" when you click on it.

The blu ray isn’t available either, it didn’t automatically do it but I cancelled my preorder through amazon just because it’s not looking too good

This happens all the time.

Look at Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs for example. I have both preordered, yet when I click on the item it redirects to nothing, but the coverart shows for RD.

It's back up now.
I think the release date changed because on this site and Amazon.com it now shows Oct. 25th,
but on my order on Amazon.ca, it shows Oct. 14th.

Interesting. I appreciate the reply! now I don’t know if I wanna take a gamble on this or wait for reviews. I would like to think that it’ll be better than the blu ray and that alone would be worth it to me, even if it’s nothing mind-blowing but you never know with VCI

So is anyone taking the preorder plunge on this one? Somehow this movie has eluded me over the years, so I'm very curious to see it. Really hoping for the best from this disc...but...

I can't afford to risk it this month considering the 3 other releases I'm getting. Hopefully it'll be good but I ain't holding my breath.

I cancelled my pre-order. After the Friday The 13th UHD debacle (which I was only mildly disappointed with) I'm going to wait to see some early reviews to decide if I'm going to pick this up. I already own the Blu-ray and the source appears pretty rough; but I'm hoping for the best!

If it comes from Shout, 50/50 it would suck. They had some pretty legendary eggs recently, Explorers and The Craft come instantly to mind, but I know there were other ones. It IS coming from Shout, in December.

I preordered this. I haven't seen the movie in ages. I never had it on Blu. Just a cheap DVD from Platinum Disc or some other budget company.

My UHD arrived from Amazon yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that this comes with a cool retro-looking slipcover! The artwork reminds me of Night of the Living Dead. Mine is a little banged up, and there's a typo on the back, but I'll live.

The special features listing includes a "special liner notes booklet written by Patrick McCabe." I got no booklet. Was this dropped, or is my copy missing something?

P.S. I can't comment on the quality. My 4K system won't be set up until later this month.

I got the Blu-ray edition and it came with the booklet.
