Glossy is always good news. Although in this case, I actually think this is a steelbook that would look better with a metallic zero finish (and maybe spot gloss on DiCaprio and Hanks) than full gloss.

No complaints, though.

Just got mine: It does have a metallic effect and it fits the steelbook perfectly. It's pretty nice.

I was going to wait to see if they do a 4K steelbook next year like what's happened with Wayne's World. But with Best Buy selling this for $14 I decided to pull the trigger for a curbside pu. This isn't a movie I have to have in 4K and I can't resist a $14 steelbook that looks this cool.
