I've only ordered from VS once in the past and I'm not sure how pricing usually works for them. Is $40 the lowest this will go?

I'm guessing this will get a standard release at some point if you want to save some cash, but $40 will be the cheapest for this specific release.

Hmmm. While I do agree most of VS covers are shite, encoding wise for the most part is good (DWII not withstanding). Whereas, SF tends to use a blind epileptic monkey to do their authoring.

Probably. VS is an independent, boutique retailer who usually charge a premium price for their releases.

All of the other VSU titles (and Vinegar Syndrome releases in general) have gotten a standard release after a few months.

For example, the two most recent VSU titles -- Six String Samurai and Cloak & Dagger -- are $30 at Bullmoose.

Yup. I'm mates with him on Faceache so I still see his art on the regular. I once bought two prints off him (The Evil Dead for me, Dawn of the Dead for the missus) and he threw in a signed freebie of three lady vampires necking.

I'm not sure if I want to go for the deluxe edition or wait for the regular edition and save a few $$. To second others here, I am not a huge fan of the artwork featured on the box anyway. I really want to have this disc day one though!

I have zero room for unnecessarily bulky packaging, so, per usual, will pick up the standard edition VSU once that's available. Kind of wish they'd just release both versions simultaneously instead of months apart, but then they probably wouldn't sell as many of the magnet-box versions.

I've gotta wait another two months before VS reveal which big-budget sleaze epic they're releasing on UHD? Everyone join hands and pray for Showgirls. We can do this.

Almost had a heart attack, the website went from Add to Cart to Sold Out.
I had to refresh the page to get the order in.

By chance do you have photos? I always like seeing different artwork.

I know there are pros and cons to subscribing. As a subscriber I was able to buy this for $32.49.

Preordered since the SF version had that irritating gamma issue, but I really do not care for this artwork. I should have probably just waited for the regular UHD variant. The Dude Designs' covers are often irritatingly busy and tacky (New York Ninja's cover was seizure inducing). It's OK to not fill every inch with something, really, try it.

We need a moratorium on commissioned artwork, original art only for a few years.

Is that the rumor? I may just sell my import 4K now. I can't imagine the VS 4K being worse.

I don't think there are any rumors (beyond the rumors of Caligula having been debunked?) -- just speculation and wishful thinking.
