Really looking forward to this one. :-) Is part two really that bad?

Yes it is. While its from the same director, it feels nothing like it. It's a green screen galore kind of movie with zero tension. It's watchable but as a Train to Busan sequel, it just doesn't work. I'd recommend watching it before buying it.
The first one is not just one of the best modern zombie, it's one of the best zombie movie period. Only the first Rec is as intense, as far as modern zombie movie goes, imo.

Not only is it getting Dolby Vision, but they are replacing the DTS X with an ATMOS track!

Totally in for 14.99.

Blind bought it on Blu-ray...never got around to it.

Blind buying it on UHD... This is how it goes these days.

I really loved the sequel but it does feel like a much different movie, owing more to Mad Max and other post apocalyptic action horror movies rather than feeling more like the style of the first movie. The action scenes were great, despite the excessive CG work.

I actually quite enjoy the sequel. The first is a genre masterwork, and the second is like 2 Fast 2 Furious meets Army of the Dead... even though Peninsula came out before it.

Yes absolutely, i can totally understand people who loved the first movie not getting on with the second, as they are very different but the second has a lot to offer, by leaning more into action and post apocalyptic shenanigans.

A new 4k release at an affordable price of a great movie is so rare these days. Wonder if Well Go will release a double pack with Peninsula as all of you have convinced me to watch it.

Well, it is a 2K upscale. I think most 2K upscales should be priced cheaper i.e. under $20.
