Tales of the Walking Dead: The Complete First Season

I kind of expect them to announce the blu-ray to come out in May when Fear comes back to AMC. That’s my thinking. I’ve got it ordered through Bullmoose.

Edit. Apparently according to Scott Gimple Tales of the Walking Dead will get a season 2! There’s a Collider article about the future of it and he said probably next year. This year they are busy producing the end of Fear and the three existing character spin-offs.

Looks like it’s being delayed long enough to work as a kind of promotional tie-in to TWD: DEAD CITY.

Those comments were from an interview about two or three months back and felt like at the time,"a maybe" they'll be a second season but the focus is on the three new shows.

I got the impression from the news yesterday of More Tales From the TWDU digital series, that this is replacing Tales. Instead of a proper second season, we're getting this instead.

That’s not the impression I’m getting from that article. There’s a big difference between “there won’t be a second season” and “there won’t be a second season for a while”. There’s nothing in that article that states the digital series is a replacement for TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD.

More Tales from the TWDU (working title): The six-part short-form scripted series is set in an around the TWD universe, with TWDU creative head Scott Gimple spearheading the project. While it wasn't made clear in the initial announcement, it would appear that this would take the place of a second season of the anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead but that hasn't been confirmed or denied at the time of this writing.

While three upcoming spinoffs will focus on characters from the original show, chief creative officer Scott Gimple has expressed interest in returning to existing anthology spinoff Tales of the Walking Dead in the future.

Now, ComicBook.com reports that AMC has announced More Tales From the TWDU, the working title for a second anthology series set in The Walking Dead universe. Similar to Tales of the Walking Dead, the new series will feature six episodes that will tell stories within the expanding zombie TV franchise. Gimple will be developing the project for AMC's Content Room, which specializes in digital original series. The series will differ from Tales of the Walking Dead by having short-form stories within the episodes.

More Tales From the TWDU acts as a follow-up to Tales of the Walking Dead, which showed different survivors and their journeys at different points in the zombie apocalypse.

I hope you're right because I would like a second season of Tales.

The DVD page says that it's $19.99(also releasing on 6/27).S I'm assuming of the two Best Buy pages,the first one with the release date for $19.99 is the DVD and the second one that says Blu Ray, release date Not Announced and the one my pre-order is connected to for $17.99 is indeed the Blu Ray page.

Weird that the DVD is selling for more than the Blu Ray.
